I absolutely do not know how I survived this long without one. Makes reading so much easier and convenient. The charge lasts a looooong time, closing the cover locks the device as opening unlocks and I LOVE THAT. I love that I can make notes, look up definitions, share with others my highlights and it connects with good reads. I love that it makes scrolling the kindle library easy and the display is perfect! Even outside its easy to read! Ill attach a photo while outside. Honestly don't have one complaint.

This makes a great gift for anyone who loves to read. It also fits nicely in a purse.

Nice, but do you really need it?

This bundle includes a superb Kindle cover. It automatically puts the Kindle to sleep when you close it, and wakes the Kindle up when it's opened. It looks sharp and professional. It feels good in the hand. The case itself is rather slippery, being fabric based, so it would readily slide if placed on tilted polish wood surface. Definitely get a case, but Amazon sells competing cases for less than half the price.

This bundle includes a 9A USB-C charger. If you're an average Kindle user (according to Amazon), your charge lasts 10 weeks. If you're only going to charge 5 times a year, does it really make sense to buy a high-power charger that can charge the Kindle in 2.5 hours as opposed to plugging into your computer or something else that will take 5 hours? It charges overnight in any case, and you probably have several chargers already.

Do you need a Kindle Paperwhite? If you have a tablet, you can read books with the Kindle App, and also have the ability to check your emails, play music and surf the web. All you can do with a Kindle is read books and listen to audiobooks. The web browser breaks on most websites. The Kindle Paperwhite's claim to fame is that it runs a long time on a charge, displays beautifully in full sun and is IP6X water resistant.

If you buy, definitely get the version with ads on the lock screen. You never notice the lock screen anyway.
