I am an older woman and considered mechanically inclined. My pictures show…Tools I used. Single edged razor blade. Extra heavy duty long nose pliers. #2 Phillips screwdriver. Closed/open end wrenches:,1/2 inch, for most of the nuts. 15/16 inch, for the big nut to hold the front axle on. 5/8 inch AND 11/16 inch, for attaching the pull handle. Head of bolt and nut are different sizes.A lot of the bolts are carriage bolts, which means they are square between the head and thread. The plastic body has square holes for these to fit into. The nuts are nylon lined, be very careful not to cross-thread them. The very first two bolts will drive you crazy, you have very little clearance to tighten the nut. Think good thoughts and have patience. Those are the worst two to get on. Crescent wrenches won’t fit, especially the first two. Use the wrenches i mentioned. Some places you will have to hold the bolt in place and the head seated in the square holes by putting the screwdriver into the head slots and hold everything still. I tightened everything to just pas 5 foot-pounds (comfortably tight and not cranked down.At the end, hold the bolt head and tighten the nut. Righty-tighty. It took me about 90 minutes including three hikes to the shop for wrenches. It rolls well and turns. Putting the last bolt on, there will be a gap between the two sides (red picture) Tighten carefully until the gap almost disappears. Too tight will cause wear and sticking, too loose and the handle will be sloppy. It took me about 90 minutes to unbox and assemble with no big hurry. This is a rigid metal frame cart with a rigid box. It has METAL hub wheels and 10” pneumatic tubes tires. I have had garden carts with plastic hubs, and those wheels broke quickly. With metal I expect a lot more durability. I don’t believe the rated weight. A few hundred pounds, this should handle groceries and garden plants. Will keep you posted.
Extremely durable waggon, easy to put together and works great. The waggon dump feature is great for me as I use the waggon for work around the yard. Very durable well built for heavy duty work. I'm very pleased with my purchase of this product, it is easy to maneuve and a great value for the money.
I’ve been using the Gorilla Cart for over a month now, and it has quickly become an essential tool for all my gardening and yard projects. I’ve used it to move a significant amount of dirt, over 50 lbs of pavers, and various other gardening tools and supplies. Every time, I’m impressed by its capabilities.
The cart is incredibly sturdy and easily handles heavy loads, making it a breeze to transport materials across the yard. Assembly was straightforward, and the quality of the materials is top-notch. It’s clearly built to withstand tough jobs and is an excellent investment for anyone needing a reliable cart for heavy-duty work. Highly recommend!
I bought this wagon based upon a recommendation from a friend in construction to help move a large quantity of dirt to regrade my home. It is much easier to handle than a wheelbarrow, has a release feature to dump the contents where you need it, sturdy construction, easy to assemble and easy to pull heavy loads. The wheels can handle any terrain. Looking forward to redoing my garden in the spring with this at my side. Best wagon you never knew you needed. Highly recommend.
This is the best cart for me. It's moves and maneuvers with ease, and tips to dump!! It's so much easier than a traditional wheelbarrow. I'm a short, older woman and appreciate how much easier it makes hauling yard supplies around. I've recommended it to several friends who are equally happy. Love it!
I bought this to aid in getting some soil moved around the yard easier than trying to use a wheelbarrow. This cart has similar capacity to the wheelbarrow that I have but is sturdier and easier to maneuver. It's also got all-terrain style rubber tires on it so that helps.
Assembly was pretty easy and straightforward. A second set of hands would make the assembly process easier but I didn't have too much trouble putting it together myself.
The dump bucket/frame on my particular unit doesn't quite line up the way it should though. I can lift the bucket just fine, but getting it to latch back down onto the frame takes a little finagling to get it to catch. The frame did seem a little warped when putting it together...the holes didn't quite line up right with the bucket. But it's not too bad.
Four stars overall and I'm sure I'll be able to find other uses for this around the yard.
If I could give it more stars I would. The wheels turn effortlessly and it is so easy to pull a load of wood. Bought it for my cabin to bring wood in during the winter. It is higher off the ground than a yard cart and is super easy to maneuver with the handle. Easy to assemble. Sturdy and love the design.
I bought this cart to help make my yard maintenance easier. I already have a single wheel wheelbarrow, but as I get older, I’m afraid my balance isn’t good enough to handle a wheelbarrow, so this is my answer to that challenge. I’m a 60 something female. When this arrived, I was able to unbox it, follow the instructions, and successfully put it together without difficulty. It did take me a few hours, however, it was not difficult. If you’ve ever built a Lego project - it is very similar. The instructions do not have words, but the nuts and bolts are separated out by project step and easy enough to figure out. I do agree that the tools that are suggested are not the right ones. I used the socket set, and a needle nose pliers and had no problems. The tub is plenty sturdy for hauling mulch and yard waste. The cart rolls very smoothly and is easy to maneuver around the yard. The dumper works perfectly. Overall, this is a very well-made cart and I’m looking forward to using it for years to come. I highly recommend this cart!
I am leaving this product review to put anyone at rest if they are on the fence about buying this product. I debated several weeks about buying this after reading numerous reviews about being smelly, hard to assemble and cheaply made.
1-this thing is a beast. Well built, sturdy, easy to move across different terrains and yes EASY TO ASSEMBLE.
2- you don't need to buy different hardware. Hardware supplied works just fine!
Now, I am what I would consider to have average to below average mechanical skills. IE: I would generally pay a hardware store to assemble this for me. But the price was attractive to me that the local Lowe's wanted $119 for a comparable model.
Tools I used.
Electric battery operated drill/screw driver. 1 regular screw driver Needle nose pliers Large pliers Power extension 3/8" drive 11/16" socket for handle 1/2" socket for all others
I started by separating all pieces and left the hardware in the container. You simply start with #1 and work your way thru the pack.
Then I loosely put all pieces together. Screwed all pieces hand tight, not wheels or handle. Next i took my electric drill, attached the power extension, 1/2" socket and put that out the nut end. Holding the screw with the regular screw driver, I tightened the nut. Easy as that.
Now the wheels (see photos). Put on washer, then wheel, put the pin in and bent back each end of the pin.
Put the handle on and didn't have a socket big enough, so i simply used the large pliers and tightened.
Assemble took 30 minutes from unpacking to being done. I am very pleased with this item and would highly encourage purchasing!
Oh and smell... It did have a new tire smell but nothing over bearing.
5.0 out of 5 stars
Honest review to put everyone at rest!

This is a great product. Easy to assemble even for one person. Very robust and the tipping mechanism is simple but effective. Love how the rear wheels roll back for tipping. Well done and thank you. Very reasonable price too.
Amazing cart!! My friend had one and I borrowed it and had to get one of my own! Once you use this you'll never go back to a wheelbarrow ever again! even the ones with 2 wheels on the front can't compare. Big durable tires, takes a lot of weight, very sturdy construction, easy pull tilt handle for dumping. Can't be beat!
Considered buying a cart for some time and now regret not taking the plunge earlier. A real game changer around the garden. Loaded up with 3 bags of compost it virtually followed along behind on its own. Five garden sleepers, no problem at all. I have a 20cm step up on to the garden, easily pulls up and down that. Assembly was a doddle, you do need the relevant sized spanners or an adjustable spanner and a screwdriver. Instructions leaflet is a series of numbered pictures and corresponding bolt/nuts are numbered in a blister pack. Tyres were fully inflated out of the box, but easily inflated if needed. Tip function works really well, simply pull the handle and as you lift the cart wheels come together taking a lot of the weight burden. The only negative I have found is with the fixing bolt washers in the bed of the cart. I was scooping up the last of some compost mix out of the cart and the scoop kept hitting the washers, a niggle but not major and the benefits far out weigh this. There are cheaper versions of the cart available, but the Gorilla Cart brand is well known (mainly in the US) and with the many positive reviews/videos online, I decided it was worth the extra to get a robust and (hopefully) long lasting cart.
