The Samsung Galaxy Z Flip 4 Maison Margiela Edition is now available to purchase with a high price tag. Well, only if you live in one of the very few countries this limited-edition foldable has been released in. The handset has hit store shelves in South Korea, France, and a few other countries with a hefty price tag. Samsung has priced this phone at €1,899 (roughly $2,000) in Europe and KRW 2,550,000 (~$1,960) in South Korea (via). The regular model started at €1,099 and KRW 1,353,000 in the two countries, respectively.
Samsung releases the Galaxy Z Flip 4 Maison Margiela Edition with a hefty price
At its core, this is the same clamshell foldable that Samsung launched in August. For a quick recap, the device features the Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 processor with Samsung offering up to 12GB of RAM and 512GB of storage. There’s a 6.7-inch foldable Dynamic AMOLED 2X display on the inside with 1080 x 2640 pixels resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and 1200 nits of peak brightness. A 1.9-inch Super AMOLED panel sits on the outside. The handset packs a 3,700mAh battery with wired and wireless charging support.
The Galaxy Z Flip 4 has a dual camera setup on the back with two 12MP sensors. The primary lens boasts dual-pixel PDAF (phase-detection autofocus) and OIS (optical image stabilization). The second camera is a wide-angle lens with a 123-degree FoV (field-of-view). On the front, we have a 10MP camera for selfies and video calls. Both front and rear cameras can record 4K videos. Other highlights include Gorilla Glass Victus+ back, Armor aluminum frame, IPX8 water resistance, and AKG-tuned stereo speakers.
But, the Maison Margiela Edition has a lot more on the offering. Not in terms of specs, but in other areas. For starters, this limited-edition device comes in a unique matte white rear panel and a silver metallic frame. The bottom rear panel features the French fashion brand’s iconic numeric coding ring (circled 11). Samsung has also developed a special UX for the phone with Maison Margiela’s design touches. App icons, wallpapers, and even the startup screen get unique touches.
On top of that, this special-edition package also contains some exclusive accessories, including a Maison Margiela-branded charger.
