Motorola is expanding its smartwatch portfolio. Lenovo-owned company just took the wraps off its Moto Watch 40, which is safe to say a compact version of the Moto Watch 70 launched last year along with the Watch 200. The Moto Watch 40 offers some impressive features for its affordable price. It includes Sleep Tracking, Daily Health Updates, over 85 customizable watch faces, and smart notifications. The best part is its long battery life of up to 10 days, which the company claims. Another great thing is though it runs Moto Watch OS, it extends support to Google Fit.
Moto Watch 40 features and specifications
Moto Watch 40 sports a 1.57-inch LCD with support for up to 85 watch face options, so you get to choose from a bunch of available faces. Plus, the Watch 40 keeps track of your heart rate and oxygen levels all day, every day. It also monitors your sleep and stress levels, and as said before, it works with Google Fit. The powerhouse is a 240mAh battery that lasts up to 10 days on one charge. Plus, it charges quickly in just 25 minutes with the included charger. Also, it supports Bluetooth 5.0 connectivity.
The watch does a fair work with a casing made of alloy, and you can change its silicone strap. As per the listing, it’s IP67 rated, meaning it’s resistant to dust and can withstand being submerged in water up to 1 meter deep for 30 minutes.
It boots up to Motorola’s proprietary, Moto Watch OS. One thing you might miss with the Moto Watch 40 is that it can show you notifications from your phone, but you can’t reply to messages or make calls directly from the watch.
It’s up and selling at $64.99
The Moto Watch 40 costs $64.99 and comes in two colors: Phantom Black and Rose Gold. Inside the box, you’ll find a Black Aluminum Case, a Black Silicon Strap, and a Magnetic Charging Cradle. It’s currently being sold in the US, but there’s no information about whether it will be available in other countries.
