Samsung’s Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic have just been made official by Samsung this morning, and just about everything, including the cost, is now out in the open. It’s probably not too hard to imagine the price though. Samsung has kept the Galaxy Watch series pricing pretty similar throughout the last few versions. And the company isn’t really deviating from that with the new models.
Still, there are different variations of the Galaxy Watch 6 that you can buy. And that means different pricing across the models in the series. You might find one is better for you than the other. So this post is all about pricing and what you’ll need to pay if you plan to buy into Samsung’s latest and greatest smartwatch.
The Galaxy Watch 6 cost is just about what you’d expect
The cost of the Galaxy Watch 6 and Galaxy Watch 6 Classic stay within line of the pricing from past devices. So you really won’t be paying any more for the new models as you would have the ones from last year or the year before.
Here’s the breakdown, since there are a couple variations per model. The Galaxy Watch 6, just like the Galaxy Watch 5 and 4, will start at a price of $299. This will be for the 40mm version of the watch. But Samsung also sells a 44mm version and this will start at $329. If you need something a little larger, Samsung’s got you covered. The Galaxy Watch 6 Classic comes in a 43mm version with a starting price of $399, and the 47mm version bumps the price up to $429.
Pricing is more affordable than last year
At least for the Classic model compared to last year’s Galaxy Watch 5 Pro. The Pro had a starting cost of $449 and then $499 if you wanted the LTE version. So Samsung is dropping the prices ever so slightly with the new Classic watch this year. This includes on the LTE models, where the 43mm Watch 6 Classic will be $449 for an LTE model, and $479 for the 47mm.
So to recap, the Galaxy Watch 6 will start at $299 for the 40mm size for WiFi/Bluetooth. LTE models are a $50 premium on top of that. So that 40mm version with LTE goes up to $349. The 44mm version meanwhile will be $329 and $379 depending on if you go for the LTE model or not. Moving to the Galaxy Watch 6 Classic, prices will be $399 and $429 for the 43mm and 47mm sizes respectively in WiFi-Bluetooth models. If you want LTE, then those models are $449 and $479.
