Our assessments give you
Clarity
Find out whether your daughter is autistic and/or an ADHDer and get a detailed understanding of her differences.
Confidence
We'll help your daughter feel good about who she is and we'll help you feel more confident in how best to parent her.
Care
Be fully supported and receive complete care and attention from us throughout the process.
Understand your daughter’s differences with these 3 steps:
1. Book a FREE screening call with us
Before committing to a full private autism and ADHD assessment, we offer a FREE 30 min, no obligation screening assessment with one of our experienced team. They will screen for key indicators of autism and ADHD, so you can be confident that a full assessment is warranted. This also gives you the chance to meet a member of the team and decide whether this is the right service for you and your daughter.
2. Complete your assessment
We’ll carry out a detailed assessment to find out whether your daughter is autistic and/or an ADHDer. We follow NICE guidelines for 'gold standard' assessments and use DSM-5 diagnostic criteria but assess for 'differences' and 'preferences' rather than 'deficits' or 'disorders'. Our process is extremely thorough and you will be given the highest level of privacy, care and attention throughout.
3. Understand your daughter better and help her feel good about who she is
Our assessment process will help you, your daughter and your daughter's school/college (if relevant) understand her differences and know what she needs to thrive. This is a big step in supporting your daughter's developing identity and helping her feel good about who she is.
Autism and ADHD assessments can be an emotional and powerful process and we’re here to support you every step of the way.
Who will be assessing my daughter?
Autistic Girls is a team of experienced health and education experts who have been assessing and supporting autistic and ADHD girls and women for decades in various NHS, education and independent services. Many of us are neurodivergent ourselves and/or have neurodivergent children. Read more about the team here.
Your daughter’s assessment will be led by an experienced member of the team. Dr Becky Quicke runs the service and provides clinical oversight. She is a clinical psychologist who specialises in autism and ADHD assessments for girls and women. Read more about Dr Becky Quicke here.
Your daughter will also be assessed by an Educational or Clinical Psychologist from our education team.
All assessments are discussed within our multi-disciplinary team as per the NICE guidelines for autism and ADHD assessments. As well as helping the diagnostic process, the team's wealth of knowledge and experience gives extra layers of understanding about your daughter's differences, which are written into your assessment report.
