What I liked most about Batumi were the sea, the food, and the wine—especially after a mountain hike. However, Batumi felt like a very noisy city with hectic and dangerous traffic, as drivers don’t seem to follow traffic rules at all. When visiting the city, I would recommend taking a ride on the funicular to the viewpoint, which offers a stunning view of the entire city and the sea. It’s also worth strolling through the old town, visiting Europe Square and Piazza, seeing the moving sculpture of Ali & Nino, and walking along the promenade. Most importantly, take a swim, enjoy the local cuisine, and try the wine. I particularly recommend tasting wine made using the traditional qvevri method

Being very close to the border with Turkey, there is, unfortunately, TOO MUCH heavy truck traffic on the only highway along the beach. Be CAREFUL (walking) crossing the road to the beach! There are PLENTY of authentic Georgian restaurants serving great salads and cold beer!)))

the weather end of sept. was still hot and too much humidity ,the city itself was overratted for me , i did enjoy most the tours out side batumi . it was more expensive than tiblisi however we enjoyed tiblisi much more in everything even the weather.
