Very spacious and value for money. But do note that is good only if you drive. There is basically nothing around the hotel. Breakfast was a big portion.

There are two Japanese gardens complete with Koi fish you are invited to feed. There is a large living area besides the large bedroom that is yours to enjoy. The property is in the a quiet neighborhood with local restaurants within 3 or 4 blocks. Across the street is a manga library that you can explore. It’s all so gentle and accessible. I highly recommend you find this to answer your question as to what is Japan without the hype! Enjoy!!

Set 2.1 km from Minatomishimadaimyo Shrine and 3.9 km from Taisanji Temple in Matsuyama, 旧鈴木邸 女性専用 offers accommodation with a kitchenette. The old resident house was built in the early 1900s and has been very well maintained. Our hosts were so lovely and very generous! They welcomed us with small gifts and a map to show us the best sites to see. Location is very easily accessible by train.

Located just a 3-minute walk from JR Matsuyama Station, Hotel Sunroute Matsuyama is a 10-minute tram ride from Matsuyama Castle. The hotel is a 15-minute drive from Matsuyama Airport. Stayed in the hotel as part of a solo walking henro trip. Everything was good with this hotel stay- room ws fine, clean and comfortable. Location near the Matsyama JR station was convinient. As with other hotels had to wait till the checkin time so was able to leave my backpack and walk around the area. When I returned they have already moved my backpack to the room (nice).

Featuring 3-star accommodation, Sky Hotel is set in Matsuyama, 400 metres from Matsuyama Station and 1 km from Matsuyama Civic Center. Perfectly located close to the train station, the JR bus and the trolley who goes around town. Japanese room is cozy and spotless and the staff very helpful. I am considering going back.
