Located in the popular ski resort of Cortina D’Ampezzo, Savoia Palace offers self-catering apartments with rustic-style décor. Some offer panoramic views of the Cristallo and Tofane mountains. The location was great; the room was clean and had everything we needed. The staff members were very kind, especially the receptionists; they were polite and helped us with all the information we needed.

Host send us all the necessary info about the keys (key box just outside the house, by main entrance) and location with maps. Spacious parking by the house. Wi-fi works well. Kitchen is well equipped with all main utensils for cooking. Has microwave, toaster. We found cookies, tea and coffee on the table upon arrival, so sweet! Has 2 bedrooms (1 double bed in 1st bedroom+ 2 singles in another). 2 bathrooms (1 with shower and washing machine). Very clean in general. Visited in mid-September, after the snow storms in Dolomiti, so it was quite cold inside (no heating yet), but the provided blankets were enough. Beautiful balcony. Dog friendly!

Not a lot of stuff around, so it's reasonably quiet, except for the church bell that starts ringing quite early. Having a car is recommended, as closest food stores require some driving to get to conveniently. Check-in happened via whatsapp, and keys were left in the locker box. The interior and facilities aren't the newest, but they are more than adequate and comfortable for a prolonged stay. There's a washing machine, dishwasher; bathtub and a shower in separate rooms. Kitchenette is in the large living room. There's a small room with a TV and a sofa that can be transformed into a bed. which can be separated from the living room with a large door. Wifi is available. There's a fireplace, but we didn't use it. A balcony is also open for use, we used the space to hang dry wet clothes. There are a lot of items scattered around the place, including useful kitchen tools like pots, pans and utensils, and a lot of decorational items and paintings. All in all a pleasant place to be. The host provided an instruction manual book with all the necessary information. We had some additional questions, so he arrived promptly to answer them in person.
