Your day-trip to the scenic villages of the Garrotxa region will begin with a visit to Castellfollit de la Roca. Perched on a basalt crag and bordered by the Fluvià and Toronell rivers, you can wander around this village and drop by a cookie factory.
You'll proceed to a medieval bridge that holds historic importance and get time to take in the natural beauty of the surroundings. Your tour will take you to medieval town of Besalú where you can admire its impressive architecture held together by bricks, stones and cobbles.
After lunch, you'll get to stroll along the streets and shops before visiting Banyoles – a town known for its large eponymous lake. If the weather is good, you can even enjoy a swim.
