The guesthouse is beautiful and Michiko is an amazing host. She is very welcoming, sweet and friendly, helped me with everything I needed, and made me feel at home. The breakfast is also very nice. Loved my stay there.

The owners are fly fishermen and aesthetic of the place it decorated with fishing related decor here and there. All the facilities are very new and clean, the hosts are very friendly and helpful even dropping us (myself and another guest) to the station (like a ten minute drive) ! Owner is Japanese but studied in the US as I understand so English is very much not a problem here. All staff speak Japanese too so issue for Japanese speakers either! This is a hostel, not a hotel, but as long as you allow that, it is one of the very best of hostel. I have stayed at many hostels across Japan, and even within Japanese standard (as you rarely miss here) it is very much one of the best, clean, great staff, all facilities are new and clean, all amenities available, toothbrush, towel, shampoo etc Very good experience, would recommend

Shabby House, a property with a garden, is set in Sapporo, 4.7 km from Sapporo Station, 14 km from Shin-Sapporo Station, as well as 20 km from Otarushi Zenibako City Center. The man who owns the house is so lovely!! He let us borrow 2 bikes for the day to get around the city. He also let us do our laundry and dry our clothes on the washing line Full of character and definitely not a place you will forget

Felt the most comfortable, safe, and it was super good. Close to metro and tram so very good location. And beautiful area. If you stay in Sapporo, go here. Also good breakfast!

Fireplace and a visit of squirrel s at the bird-feeder outside the dining window. Friendly staff and deep hot water bathtub. We will come back there when we go to Rusutsu again.

A 5-minute drive from Ski Resort Grand Hirafu on the free shuttle, Pension Locomotion offers simple rooms with free Wi-Fi and a private bathroom. The location wasn't too far from Hirafu main street. 5 minutes walk to Lawson and roughly 15-20 minutes walk to Hirafu Gondola. There is also free shuttle bus to Hirafu Gondola right in front of NAC (literally 1-2 minutes walk from lodge). What I love about the place is the owners are very friendly and welcoming. The storage room has iron and wax scraper if you need a quick wax for your ski or snowboard (bring your own wax). The best part is the common room where you can meet people from all over the world and have your meals there. Included in the common room is toys and lego for family with kids, microwave, fridge, washing machine and dryer. I highly recommend Pension Locomotion for your Niseko trip!
