Located on Miyajima (Itsukushima), Miyajima Guest House Mikuniya offers a Japanese-style accommodation and a small garden. Free Wi-Fi is available. Miyajima Ferry Terminal is a 20-minute walk away. Everything was a very good surprise :) The staff is very friendly and dynamic, the dinner and breakfast are possible for veggies and are included in the price 😄 I learned how to make crane origami :) and the place is 15min by foot to the torii and the beginning of the hike to the Mont Misen :)

The owner, Katsumori san, is kind and very detail-oriented, and you can tell that he puts his heart and soul into running this guesthouse. I loved my stay here, it was the highlight of my trip.

The house's location is on the side of a mountain, surrounded beautifully by nature. Despite arriving VERY late, we were received and treated kindly. Additionally, at no fault of the owner's, there was a mistake with the reservation and the owner did not have room for 2 women. Despite this, the owner found a place for us. The place is FILLED with cats!! The cats are healthy, friendly, playful, and gentle. When it was time to sleep, they joined us on the futons but did not annoy us. If you're sensitive to noise it might be a little noisy, but I found it relaxing, and it reminded me of my cat back home. The owner is unbelievably kind, and I cannot say enough nice things about our stay. If you are a cat lover, please stay here!

Excellent location a short walk to the entrance of Sandan-Kyo. Wonderful, clean accommodation with great facilities. The host was excellent. Very helpful and accommodating throughout our whole stay. He went above and beyond to help us and make us feel welcome. I would definitely stay here again and recommend others to do so.
