Amazing Japanese breakfast and dinner, relaxing private onsens, lovely traditional rooms, incredible staff and owner! Close to bus stop. The open air art museum was way better than we expected, so thankful for the free shuttle to it.

The breakfast was pre-ordered and limited to 6 items per person (including infant). The atmosphere was really cosy and welcoming, it was great to have a common lounge to relax and 2 individual bathhouses for utilisation. There are some beverages and access to microwaves, oven, hot water flask in the lounge. Also, it is great that it had a small children section with suitable furniture. You can ask for the shuttle to a nearby restaurant but you will need to make your own way back. The bed and breakfast owner's family are staying in-house. So the owner is always readily available when called.

A recently renovated property, 波奈 浅草 Hana Asakusa ーSkyTree前駅まで徒歩5分ー is situated in Tokyo near Hatonomachidori Shopping Street, Aizome Museum and Tsukada Kobo. We loved absolutely everything. The Japanese feel, amenities, and house was perfect, but the host was exceptional and took care of every detail. We couldn’t have asked for a better place to stay in Tokyo!

Located within 35 km of Kumagaya Rugby Stadium and 48 km of Ishidan-gai Steps in Kiryu, Okiya Guest House & Tapas Bar offers accommodation with seating area. The guesthouse is so charming and the hosts Yuko & Gabriel are so nice and accommodating. Gabriel who is the chef is so attentive in preparing a great breakfast set suitable for Muslims. They also provide free shuttle to and fro Kiryu station which is much appreciated. Definitely will stay here again! :)

Set in Nikko in the Tochigi region, with Nikko Station and Tobu Nikko Station nearby, NIKKO stay house ARAI - Vacation STAY 14994v offers accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. The owner is very friendly and helpful. She showed us places where we could eat and gave us a map with the bus timetable. Rooms are spacious, beds are comfy. I think it was my best sleep in any hotel I have ever stayed in. There is also an electric heater under the futon, if you need one. Just like other reviewers mentioned, In the morning we were given a breakfast that was not included in the price. It contained meat, bread, multiple vegetables and fruits. Again, the best breakfast I ever had.

We had an amazing stay at this homestay with a wonderful Japanese host. The room was spotlessly clean, and the landlady went above and beyond to make our stay comfortable. She cooked us a delicious breakfast, took me to a supermarket, and even dropped us off at the train station. Her kindness and hospitality made our stay truly memorable. We had a great time and would highly recommend this homestay to anyone looking for a warm and welcoming experience in Japan!

Kitazawa Cozy House is situated in the Setagaya district of Tokyo, 700 metres from Kitazawa Hachiman Shrine, 700 metres from Shinganji Temple and 1.3 km from Museum of Modern Japanese Literature. This house was so cute! The owner was super sweet and accommodating. The neighborhood around it was very picturesque too and I loved walking through it every day. I liked that the toilet and sink is separate from the shower, so no one had to wait wait for each other to use the bathroom every morning

Located in Nikko, 2.8 km from Tobu Nikko Station, Gableview Forest Inn ゲーブルビュー features accommodation with a hot spring bath, a public bath and an open-air bath. It was really nice getting to chat with the owners when we got there. They were really welcoming and it was kind of like staying with family. When I got sick, I was given medicine and made sure I felt alright. They helped us find food and recommended a great place that was nearby and gave us extra snacks when we left. The art throughout the building is beautiful and if you are interested the owners will talk with you about what is there. The baths were a nice temperature and we never felt rushed.

Tetsuji and Yoko were amazing hosts! They were the kindest couple! The sleeping rooms were beautiful with tatami mat floors and rice paper screens. We went in the winter, so it was a bit cold, but the room comes with a kotatsu table (low table with a built in heater and blanket) and it was amazingly cozy. The view from the room is also incredible, overlooking a ravine with a rushing river. In the morning the made us a delicious breakfast of rice, soup, salted fish, mountain yam and an assortment of other goodies for only ¥1000! They have cats on premise, fyi if you’re allergic, they were only with us at breakfast (obviously not in our rooms) but they are such sweet kitties! From Tersuji and Yoko, to the cozy vibes, to the attentiveness and care - It was like being taken care of by my own grandparents!
