The host couple are extremely kind and friendly and put us at ease immediately. The accommodation has everything you would need and so much more! The place is beautiful and cosy and it looks even better in person than on the photos. Not to mention the location in Gion but in a quiet street, which allows you to stroll in some of the most beautiful areas of Kyoto in the evening when it is super quiet.

In the Higashiyama Ward district of Kyoto, close to Shoren-in Temple, Azukiya features a garden and a washing machine. A hot tub and a bicycle rental service are available for guests. Nice atmosphere, clean, helpful host with good English.

六根ゲストハウス Rokkon guest house features accommodation located less than 1 km from the centre of Kyoto and offers a garden and a terrace. The house is beautiful! Kayako is a great and wholesome host! Breakfast is organic and local. Comfy beds, bidet, A/C and a fireplace. I would love to come here again 😁. Thank you for everything!

Ideally located in the centre of Kyoto, Kokonoe Machiya offers air-conditioned rooms, a garden, free WiFi and a shared lounge. My first stay was so wonderful that I had to come back! I cannot recommend Kokonoe Machiya and its amazing host, Toni enough!! Thank you, thank you and I hope to be back again!
