Located in Gojō, the recently renovated お宿さつき奈良五條 offers accommodation 29 km from Subaru Hall and 37 km from Tanpi Shrine. Wonderful experience of Japan outside of the cities. Easy to get to by train. Incredible views. There were bikes to hire which was wonderful. We spent a day visiting Koyasan in the mountains which is an absolute must. Amazing Japanese restaurants walking distance. Shogo and his wife are incredible hosts and go beyond expectations of any hosts. Helpful, perfect English and Japanese, great communication skills and very helpful and nice people. Beds are super comfy. Well worth the experience, and it snowed the day we left. Magical place.

ツバメハウス is located in Tenri, 28 km from Iwafune Shrine, 30 km from Higashiosaka Hanazono Rugby Stadium, as well as 31 km from Takochi Shrine. The owners were so accommodating and friendly. They gave me a very warm welcome, and when I left, suggested a nice hiking route (山の辺の道/Yama no be no michi) which I did the day I checked out. 10/10

Slow House was exactly what we needed for a relaxing time in Nara. Time to slow the pace of our journey a but and take it easy. Hiro-san and the team are very welcoming and helpful. The facilities are super clean and lovely throughout including a handy kitchen in the communal area. The room is one of the largest I’ve stayed in in Japanese hotels to date. Very much appreciated and just a 7-10 minute walk from the Kintetsu Nara train station. Wonderful! ありがとうございました🙇🏼‍♂️✨

Offering a garden and garden view, Guesthouse Tamura is situated in Nara, 1.7 km from Nara Station and 19 km from Iwafune Shrine. Had a wonderful stay in the guesthouse, one of the best ones out there. The owner preparea a bathtub everynight for the guests. Overall the place is very cozy

Located 1.8 km from Nara Station, 18 km from Iwafune Shrine and 22 km from Higashiosaka Hanazono Rugby Stadium, Guest House Oku provides accommodation situated in Nara. The owner was exceptionally friendly and kind, and the house was beautiful and full of Japanese-y charm.

Offering a shared lounge and garden view, Guesthouse Naramachi is set in Nara, 1.6 km from Nara Station and 20 km from Iwafune Shrine. Amazing location for going to Nara park and other restaurants and sites in Nara. The staff are so helpful and kind and have many recommendations for restaurants or sites to visit with a map. The guesthouse is very comfortable with tatami rooms and the bathrooms are well kept and organized. Very large area downstairs to play games and hangout together with friends and there is free coffee and cold water. Excellent experience and definitely plan to come back and stay at this guesthouse!

Located within 7.2 km of Iwafune Shrine and 10 km of Nozaki Kannon Shrine, Shionome house provides rooms with air conditioning and a shared bathroom in Ikoma. I loved the spaciousness of the property, the kindness of the owners and the delicious homemade breakfast every morning. There are various community events held each week and many opportunities to meet interesting people from the Ikoma area. The short distance to the station is also a plus!

Situated within 40 km of Nara Station and 46 km of Subaru Hall, うだ薬湯の宿やたきや offers rooms with air conditioning and a private bathroom in Uda. Quite, amazing scenery and fantastic host. The room is cosy, spacious and you could smell the herb from our room. The herbal soak in the tub was very relaxing. Kade , fluent in English whom was hosting us upon our arrival is excellent. He explained every detail of the food ingredients, the health benefit and type of herbs used in our dinner meal. The chef is an excellent cook. The dinner was delicious and palatable. The lady host took us around the trail walks and set up a hammock in the forestry. The view from the hammock overlooking at the tall majestic trees and foliage were really spectacular. My spouse, daughter and myself truly enjoyed our one night stay.
