The kitchenette has a capsule espresso machine and a few slices of cake for a continental breakfast. This was an unexpected and welcome luxury, as the unit is in a residential area without a cafe or bakery nearby. The sightseeing center of Colmar is about 30 minutes away on foot, but there is public transport if you want to figure it out. The price was very reasonable for a major tourist attraction during the busy Christmas market season.

Doris and Theo, the wonderful hosts, make every guest feel like a treasured friend. Their hospitality even extends to their two friendly dogs. We stayed in a cozy room in their recently renovated barn, equipped with a private bathroom and all the amenities we could need. The barn itself is beautifully renovated and tastefully furnished. The cozy lounge on the ground floor, complete with a fridge and small amenities, made us feel right at home. Breakfast was a daily delight! Homemade jams and preserves, perfectly cooked eggs from the farm’s chickens, and a wonderful selection of meats and cheeses awaited us each morning. The coffee and tea options were top-notch. Each breakfast was personalized, featuring homemade jam, cheese, fruit, and baguette. Doris and Theo went above and beyond by bringing a small birthday gift for our son, adding a special touch to our stay.

The owner contacted me immediately with the instructions to pick the keys. The apartment is in pristine condition, clean, comfortable, everything looks brand new. Internet works very well and the TV cable includes every option (Netflix, etc).
