Plus, it is huge and very well-equipped with everything from a pair of scissors to a cork screw. The hosts, Maria and Paolo, could not do enough for us. They even provided wine and several types of water in the fridge for us. There were maps with places of interest and restaurants in the area in a basket on the table. The ultimate kindness was taking us to the train station on our day of departure and handing as a bag of special amaretti cookies from the area. We travel a lot and places like this are few and far between. Very special.

The kitchen was fully stocked with excellent appliances and cookware as well as beautiful china and was a joy to relax with breakfast. It gave out onto a small balcony with a view of the lake. A very short ad beautiful walk to get to either the main lakeside and center of town.

We rented the apartment with two rooms for the weekend and where very well recieved by the owners. The rooms were on the last floor, the room facing north had a nice view on Stresa and the lake. Additionally everything was clean and in order, and the neighbourhood was quiet! Would recommend!
