Great spot next to a park and the waterfall. The hostess was very charming and generous, even picking me up from the bus station so I didn’t have to walk in the dark and snow. I loved my stay here and wish I could have spent a couple more days. Being here really filled my soul.

Ok, all the Kuldīga is old town, but location of apartment is exceptional. Free parking for a car next to a house. Windows are faced to courtyard. Quiet, warm and spacious. Style is between old school and a bit modern. For a couple this apartment was great. Big plus is a kitchen area, we used it to make dinner for us, you get all the kitchenware, even coffee, tea, spices etc. What was the biggest surprise fur us - the kindness of the owner. We forgot our hygiene products at the apartment after we checked out and already went back to Riga. We contacted the owner and they sent them to us with parcel. For someone it may be a small thing, but this kind of kindness goes a long way.

I met the host at the bus station, and she handed me the keys. I'm a perpetually absent-minded person, so obviously I almost broke into someone else's apartment after choosing the wrong door into the building (in my defense, the right one is almost identical). I called her, she gracefully drove to meet me again, and laughed as she saw me go out the door some 50 meters away from where I was supposed to go in. She was kind enough to not press on my embarrassment and then showed me around the apartment. It is superb, clean, beautifully furnished, well insulated, has a nice view (for a 1st story apartment) and all the amenities you could want. The bedroom has a large, plush and comfy bed, and thick matching curtains that do a great job at keeping out the light. The kitchen is well equipped with an induction stove, pots, pans, knives, a mini-fridge, and everything else you expect. There's a breakfast table next to the window that I liked to people-watch through while I had my morning cereal. Which reminds me, there's a large supermarket across the street and a smaller one around the corner. There's a flat-screen tv with Netflix, which can be both a good and a bad thing. I stayed up late binge-watching a show one night, and kind of missed making an early morning the next day. I was also glad to be able to wash my clothes there. There's a washing machine, laundry detergent, ironing board and machine and just enough space in the hallway to iron clothes. The living room might be better suited, but I couldn't find an extension cord. It was probably tucked away somewhere, though. Overall, I couldn't have asked for a better place to stay. Definitely recommend it.
