18 km from Pico do Carvao, Quinta da Paz Azores is a recently renovated property located in Pico da Pedra and provides air-conditioned rooms with free WiFi and private parking. Quinta da Paz is a dream place to spend your holidays. Being in the middle of the Island, has the perfect location to go up and down during your stay in the island. Claudia, its owner, is the clear example of a true hostess. Attentive to every detail from the very first moment, she makes you feel at home. She has created a wonderful idyllic space, a complex of 6 apartments that offers you things that until now I had never found before, and everything free, at no added cost. A pool, a jacuzzi, a barbecue to use whenever you want and with everything you need without having to look for it on your own, two Washing machines and a dryer, a mini football field and beautiful views of a meadow where cows graze. On the complex there are also some animals which makes the day to the children. A parrot named Lara, few peacocks and some hens whose fresh eggs you can take and eat as many you wish. Each of the apartments is perfectly equipped but above all, full with everything you need on the first day. Water, coffee, tea, salt, sugar, oil, kitchen paper... it seems silly, but when you don't go to a hotel but to an apartment, having the minimum on the first day before you go to a supermarket, helps a lot. Claudia has only one employee, Nicole, who is in charge of cleaning your apartment whenever you want, and who is at the villa from 9 till 19 pm taking care that all is ok. As it couldn’t be other way, she is as kind as Claudia, always with an smile on her face and ready to help. During the eight days we spent there we felt the peace and quietness of a private place, as if it were our own home, only much bigger and with all the open beautiful spaces explained above. We practically felt as if we were alone. Without any doubt the best place we’ve been so far. Thank you

Offering a rooftop pool and sea view, Olive Boutique Guesthouse is situated in Vila Franca do Campo, 400 metres from Praia do Corpo Santo and 500 metres from Praia da Vinha da Areia. Very good communication in advance of my stay. Located in the middle of the island, about 1/2 an hour's drive away from the airport, a logistically convenient starting point for all excursion on the island. Secure and free parking places at the port about 500m away. Freshly converted guest house with around 6 rooms in the middle of the town. Everything is functional and very tastefully decorated. Perfect fast WiFi, sockets, AC, small fridge, open wardrobe and great shower. Had quiet room facing the inner court. Nice pool, but didn't use it. Breakfast of very good quality and quantity. Different types of rolls, toast, croissants, local cheese, coffee tabs from Nestle, egg dishes upon request. I loved Maria's omelet ;-) Overall, an incredibly friendly, warm and communicative young lady, I enjoyed the time and conversations with her! PQR very good.

Quinta da Nasce Água is situated in Angra do Heroísmo and has a pool with a view and garden views. The property features city and inner courtyard views. The place is wonderful, a big garden full of flowers and plants, a beatiful swimmingpool. Room was big and the bathroom too, clean and comfortable...the bed extra!!!!! Hotel stuff is so kind, friendly and professional. Interiors are very nice...

Located in Angra do Heroísmo in the Terceira region, Alojamento Raminho dos Açores has a balcony. The property features sea and mountain views. Wonderful couple. If I had known how good the experience was going to be, I would have booked the entire week at this place. Felt like coming back home. Had dinner there and everything was delicious. Very kind people, very well educated dog, very funny goat. I would definitely recommend it.

Featuring an outdoor swimming pool and views of sea, Solar de Santo André is a recently renovated guest house located in Ponta Delgada, 12 km from Pico do Carvao. If you’re reading this and are unsure if yes or no to book, let me tell you, it’s a definite YES! What a wonderful, wonderful place. We booked the converted stable and had such a lovely stay. Three ladies. We felt safe, looked after and it was like home away from home. Eduarda and her team was exceptional. Breakfast was amazing. This place is such a gem, a little haven. It’s within walking minutes to the supermarkets, farmer market, shops etc. You can easily use it as your base and do the east, west and circle tour from here. Taxi to the north-shore for a beach/surf day was (thanks to Eduarda’s booking) also very easy. We’d return in a heartbeat.

Located in Ponta Delgada and only 2.4 km from Milicias Beach, Vilas do Olival provides accommodation with sea views, free WiFi and free private parking. beautiful property with a year round pool and we even had our own private hot tub. it is close to Ponta Delgado, groceries and sightseeing but you do need a car

Located in Ponta Delgada, 8.5 km from Pico do Carvao, Vila Rosario provides accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Fairly new exceptionally clean apartment style villa. The owner was more than helpful answering questions and providing for our needs such as an early breakfast and information on restaurants. The room had adequate kitchen equipment to allow you to make easy meals. A large grocery store is a short distance away. The kitchen had a few basic herbs and spices that you could use. It was very quiet with a secure locked entrance after 5:00 that each guest had a remote to be able to enter.
