This was a very comfortable accommodation situated in a picturesque location. The place is big and the view from the terrace is superb. We stayed for 5 nights and felt much at ease. Communication with the host was perfect, and they were very helpful and accommodating. If you have a car you can get from here to many of the island's hiking spots quite quickly. We'd certainly stay here again.

We really liked the peace and quiet and simplicity at Recanto da Montanha. If you are looking for a local experience( rather than a big set up) then this is a good place to start. Our host Geisa was really sweet and helpful. Plenty of hot water and internet worked well

Beautiful property. Our suite was absolutely fantastic. Enjoyed chatting with the owners who make such a brilliant job of managing the property. Loved having a very relaxing breakfast on the roof every morning. Staff are first class with the lovely girls singing and positive at breakfast. Great location near the beautiful beaches as well as the lovely town of Taraffal, which is very pleasant in the evenings.
