Steinenschanze Charming City & Garden Hotel is less than 5 minutes' walk from Basel's city centre and the university, close to historical buildings and the old town. Really a great hotel at the location close to the city center, but not noisy. The room was nice and clean, bathroom could've been a bit bigger though. Breakfast was amazing and the hotel staff was assisting in serving the breakfast or in whatever we might've needed.

Casa Esperanza is located a 5-minute tram ride from the centre of Basel and offers free WiFi and a shared terrace with seating area. The rooms all come with a flat-screen TV. Overall, we had a great experience here! The host, Kai, was very friendly, helpful, and accommodating. The room was very spacious for two people, and it was nice to have the little kitchen! The washroom was shared with only one other room, which made it feel like a semi-private washroom. All facilities were super clean! Great location, and it was very helpful that the booking came with a Basel pass, including free transit and half-off at many museums! Would highly recommend staying here :)
