Located in Brusino Arsizio, 11 km from Mendrisio Station, Villa Patria B&B provides accommodation with a garden, private parking, a terrace and a bar. Newly opened, beautifully decorated, air conditioned bedrooms, great facilities, family-run and extremely friendly. Set on the banks of Lake Lugano, the terrace, where you have breakfast/ drinks has amazing views across the lake. The breakfast is outstanding- freshly baked breads to start, followed by homemade waffles, and finished off with any type of eggs and bacon. Fabulous orange juice and tea/coffee. The owners also recommended an Italian restaurant 3 minutes walk away, and even reserved a table for us. The food and staff there were amazing too! Villa Patria is a little gem! Can highly recommend!

Grotto del Pan Perdü, a property with a bar, is situated in Carona, 10 km from Exhibition Center Lugano, 12 km from Swiss Miniatur, as well as 23 km from Mendrisio Station. Very nice Grotto, with freshly renovated rooms. Very friendly and helpful staff. Before arriving we were informed about the possibilities for breakfast and restaurants. At our arrival, there was some minor technical issue with the heating and we were given immediately another room.
