The facility is super clean and eco friendly. The hotel is elegant and classic design. The host Maria ALWAYS welcomes you with big smile and kind heart. The breakfast buffet has lots of selection. The smoked salmon is the BEST. She helped me arrange shuttle bus to the airport. I lost my bag in the bus. She is very helpful in a way to assist me with lost and found. I found my bag. Thanks Maria. Newly renovated during the spring of 2023, Hotel Local 101 is an independent hotel quietly tucked away in the heart of downtown Reykjavik, on a charming street made up of classical Icelandic homes. Room is clean and comfortable to live, very quiet, staff are friendly and helpful. The location is good.

The apartment is so cozy and clean, and the team from Lara Studio were very accessible and helpful. It is the perfect place to stay if you plan to be in the city for a few days, the kitchen is well equipped, there is plenty of space for storage and the washing machine is really handy and as the city is relatively small its only a 10/15 min drive to city center. We spend seven days in a road trip in Iceland, we’ve been to five different hotels and guest houses, and Lara is by far the best one we stayed.
