Mitsui Garden Hotel Yokohama Minatomirai Premier has a fitness centre, terrace, a restaurant and bar in Yokohama. This 5-star hotel offers luggage storage space. The room size was much larger than other hotels I've stayed at in Japan. The rooms are really well designed and super quiet. The bath tub is divine...very deep and perfect for soaking after walking all day. The location is perfect. Close to trains and easy to walk everywhere. The mall is 2 blocks away and the 4th floor has great food. The bar is really nice and the staff were just wonderful. I really enjoyed my stay. I would like to thank the bar staff for their kindness.

In a prime location in Tokyo, MUJI HOTEL GINZA provides air-conditioned rooms, a restaurant and free WiFi. This 4-star hotel offers luggage storage space. The hotel is very well located and convenient for exploring the city, having a meal or shopping. It is located on the top floors of Muji flagship store in Ginza. There is a bus stop of Narita Airport Bus, just around the corner, which is very convenient for arrival/departures. Rooms are on the small side, by Western standards, but standard by Japanese. A lot of wood is used in the interior design which makes it a nice place to relax in a big city full of concrete and glass. All standard amenities are provided, including Muji cosmetics for face cleaning and moisturising. Coffee machine with capsules in the room. The breakfast was quite nice. While not including lots of items there was a good quality selection of both Japanese and Western foods. The breakfast area is used as a lounge for hotel guests between 16:00 to 21:00. It is convenient after coming back from city exploration to stop there for a drink or snack.

Ideally located in the Taito district of Tokyo, KOKO HOTEL Residence Asakusa Kappabashi is set 200 metres from Kinryu Park, 400 metres from Sogenji Temple and 400 metres from Akiba Shrine. When we arrived, we were told we were getting an upgrade. As this was our last few days of holiday, we were thrilled! The apartment we were given was spacious, comfortable, private, and, overall, the best accommodation and sleep we had during our 16 days in Japan. When we left, my son (9) pointed out an origami crane. He complimented it, saying he also enjoys origami. The reception worker was delighted and gave him the crane, then ran after us to give him another origami he had made. It was so kind and a lovely experience to finish out our wonderful trip.

Located in the Sumida Ward district in Tokyo, MIMARU Tokyo Kinshicho offers 4-star rooms with free WiFi. We booked the large family room for our family of five: two parents and children aged 9, 7, and 3. The room was spacious and had a very pleasant dining/kitchen area, where we started our days with a meal together, and where we sat down in the evenings before going to bed. The bathroom was very clean and the kids loved taking baths in the Japanese-style bathtub. If you travel with children you'll know that kids can't eat out 3 times a day, and they need some time to decompress in private, away from the hustle and bustle of tourist activities. The spacious room really helped us in this regard. MIMARU is a great place to stay when visiting Tokyo -- the Kinshicho JR station is a 2-minute walk from the hotel, and there are many restaurants and shops in the vicinity (including a 24/7 SEIYU supermarket). The staff were super helpful and very accommodating.
