Love the location which is right in the middle of beautiful and well kept old town of Narai. The hotel is beautiful with the paths through the gardens to each unit. Each unit also has its privacy and provided relaxing and comfy atmosphere. The meals are great as well and really enjoyed it especially local ingredients were used in cooking the meals.

Set in Chikuma, the recently renovated おせっかいゲストハウス 昭和の寅や offers accommodation 26 km from Zenkoji Temple and 32 km from Suzaka City Zoo. The owner is the sweetest person I have ever met. She will help you and make you feel like you have been there before.

The host was kind and welcoming. The accommodation was clean, spacious and felt homey. I stayed in a single room. The shared living area was comfortable, there was a tv with Netflix. The combined washer/dryer machine was awesome! It’s coin operated though so make sure you have Japanese coins, I think it only accepted 100 yens, best to confirm before you arrive.
