Lucky to find this one on arrival in Bar Harbor in peak leaf peeping season. If you like history, this place is for you. Two town houses beautifully converted into bed and breakfast accommodation with historic furniture and hiding away just behind the main street. Staff could not have been more pleasant and helpful, especially Marina (all the way from Serbia) and Walker. Breakfasts are cooked to order - very nice and original but not contemporary US breakfasts. Forget the brick, glass and concrete hotels and come and stay here. Highly recommended.

Stayed at The Primrose a couple of weeks ago and could not possibly overstate just how much my husband and I loved this place. The Inn itself is beautiful, the rooms and common rooms all decorated so tastefully, and the location was fantastic - a short drive to Acadia, or a 10 minute or less walk into the center of Bar Harbor. The breakfasts were incredible, and the extra tea/coffee/snacks provided were always welcomed. What made this place all the more special was the staff, especially Jill and Rebecca who absolutely made our stay with their warmth, hospitality, and patience with my many questions! We were there at the end of the off-season/very beginning of the busy season so it was still quiet in town, which personally we loved. Still plenty open, and made it that much more enjoyable in the park without the crowds. We will 100% be staying there again should we ever find ourselves in that part of the world again.

Situated in Northeast Harbor, 18 km from Agamont Park, Harbourside Inn features accommodation with free WiFi and free private parking. Beautiful property with such a personal touch. Rooms were cosy and comfortable. Shower was lovely. Met nice people and enjoyed breakfast in the sunny breakfast room. Wish we could have stayed longer! Will hopefully be back!

Beautifully decorated and so welcoming what a gem of a place to find in Bar Habor. beautiful property where the staff really welcome you. The baked goods on arrival were a real treat after a long drive. Breakfast was really good loved the sweet and savoury options.

The staff were excellent - very friendly and welcoming. The location was just what we needed - a short walk from the town and seafront. The room was very clean and spacious.
