The location was exquisite, just in front of a water hole, where animals come all day (and night) to drink water. It was the best hotel we stayed during our safari, with big rooms and comfortable beds, overlooking the water hole (some rooms, at least). Best lobby and bar/restaurant as well, also overlooking the water hole. Tsavo West is very scenic but it’s a bit difficult to spot animals because of the dense bush forest, however you can spot them at the hotel/water hole.

Situated 40 km from Tsavo SGR Station, Salt Lick Safari Lodge features accommodation in Tsavo. Complimentary WiFi is offered. A car rental service is available at the lodge. The unique and creative establishment is a great experience, with animals walking over to drink from the watering hole right in front of the hotel. The staff members were very professional yet friendly. The food was nothing short of spectacular.

Offering a garden and garden view, Diani Beachalets is situated in Diani Beach, 2.2 km from Galu Beach and 500 metres from Colobus Conservation. It was self-catered, but restaurants are very close, just a walk down the beach. Fantastic beach, well taken cared of property with excellent security, very safe. I liked the quiet nights, far from clubs, but you could get to them if you wanted. The sea is warm and you can swim, plus go snorkeling for a few hours on a boat.

Providing sea views, Mango Lodge Kenya in Kisimachande provides accommodation, a garden, a terrace and a restaurant. The lodge features both WiFi and private parking free of charge. Breakfast very good, and every day they change something: base is very good coffee, fruit, honey jam, milk, and one day you have beans cooked in coconut sauce, another day chapati or omelettes, then toasts or sweet rice balls, something typical swahili and we enjoyed a lot. Location is special! Beach just there and a wonderful tropical garden behind. No noise, only birds and peace. No moskitos!!!!
