There are two halves here. The updated part and the older part. I suspect the newer part is more expensive but you may find the older blocks a little spartan. The restaurant for my evening meal was great. Parking is plentiful although you may initially compete with bar and restaurant guests if you arrive at lunch or evening meal times. By the end of the day I’m sure you’ll get a parking place. The surrounding area is mainly residential so your car is generally safe in the hotel’s parking area. The breakfast, however, is something I’d have only if it’s included in the price. Frankly you’re better off strolling off to Billa across the road and grabbing something for your onward journey.

We loved the host who was so kind and helpful to us. The location was excellent, as the train station is right by the accommodation (1 min away) so it was very easy and convenient to go to Salzburg by train and not worry about the car and parking. We were also provided free train tickets by the hotel which was wonderful.
The hotel itself is very cozy and warm and the breakfast was excellent.

Absolutely great hosts, great people, felt like we are at friends. Breakfast was best thing of whole trip. Furniture is old but with taste. Hope to come again.

We stayed room only, which fitted with our plans so we could get up early to head the eagles nest and be first up there. the room was perfect for our needs, i would stay again, but not on a Sunday as it was very quite and 95% places closed...

Everything was excellent!
The hotel is situated in a very quiet area. The room was big and very cozy.
Lovely views from the balcony.
Breakfast was very good with a lot of quality.
Will come back again!
Situated just 5 km from Salzburg’s historical centre, the Mostwastl offers a garden with views of the Untersberg Mountain. Facilities include an elegant cocktail bar.
A must-see for those interested in Celts and Mining.
A must-see for those interested in Celts and Mining. The "Salzbergwerk Dürrnberg" is much much more interesting, than the overfamous "Salzbergwerk Hallstatt". Celtic Museum in Hallein ist really of value. The town itself has a very limited number of places to dine. Decent train connection to Salzburg, savin You a lot of money and a most boring view of Salzburg after 5 p.m.

The hotel was amazing. Rooms were clean and we had everything fresh and new every day in the morning. People who worked there are very pleasant and polite and they take care of everything, always asking if we need anything. Location was the best because everything that we wanted to visit (Salzburg, Salz welten, Hallstadt...) was just 15 min away. All in all, just perfect place for a family holiday.
