Wellington Motel has not returned my $100 "security deposit". We checked out Sunday morning October 1 and today is Thursday October 5. my only critic of Wodonga was the lack of Police on the roads which makes you feel safe. walking the streets looking for food on saturday night I would have been alot more secure had I atleast seen 1 patrol car - none we were on the streets 6.30 10.30 saturday night

Travelling to catch up with family so a convenient location for us to stay and spend our days with the family. Beautiful Gateway Park Walk along the Murray River with spectacular sculptures depicting dreaming stories! A great activity to share with family. Lunch at Henri's Bakery - fresh, made-on-the-spot sandwiches, delicious!

I went to Wodonga to see the Army Museum at Bandiana which was excellent! Well organised, plenty of interesting exhibits, and very helpful staff. We spent 2+hours there. Had some extra time, so visted Lake Hume and the weir, which were very impressive. Then called in at Bonagilla Migrant Museum, on a whim, and surprisingly found it absolutely fascinating. Plus there were hundreds of kangaroos on the grounds. We came away from Bonagilla with a new appreciation of Australia's post war migrants. A moving experience for us.V

It is still in very good condition and isn’t run down at all. A walk across the walkway to the Huon Hotel for dinner and drinks is very handy. The king bed was one of the most comfortable hotel beds we’ve slept in. The room has a little kitchenette which is well equipped and the shower head has coloured lights which is a bit of a novelty.
