Very clean and comfortable. Brilliant bathroom and excellent breakfast. Whilst the location is above a petrol station, we weren’t really aware of that when we were in our room.

Stayed one night in this beautiful, spacious and spotlessly clean apartment to visit the World War 2 sites in and around Bastogne, but wish we could have stayed longer. The owners are very friendly and helpful.

Lovely town and surrounding area, lots to do if you enjoy the history of WWII. There are also, for the Nature lovers, many walks and caves within driving distance from Bastogne. Let’s not forgot about the Frites, beer, chocolate and of course the Ardennes Hams!

The town has alot of history with plenty museums run by friendly staff and well maintained memorials. But you need more than a day to see everything, also there's no direct bus or train from Brussels to Bastogne so public transport takes longer than expected. That said if you're interested in history it'll be well worth planning a weekend or so here.

If you are at all interested in WW2 history (especially American involvement) Bastogne should be at the top of your must visit list. This area had a huge involvement in 1944/45 and is famous for American General Anthony McAuliffe giving the single word reply "Nuts" when being told by the German commander to "surrender as you are surrounded and your situation is hopeless"
The town square named after him has an American style bar called Le Nuts in memory of this great man.
The American Third Army led by General George S Patton led the relief of Bastogne and has a monument dedicated to him there in recognition.
This is a great town to visit and the local people are very friendly and welcoming.
There are many bars and restaurants and Belgian beer and food is great.

The WW2 museums are fantastic, and are highly recommended.
The WW2 museums are fantastic, and are highly recommended. The 101st Airborne Museum, which is a 2 minute walk from the main square (General Mc Auliffe square), is extremely interesting. The life-size mannequins are just too real though!. The 101st Barracks is about a 45 minute walk from the centre, and well worth a visit. As is the Mardasson Memorial and Museum, the Bois Jacques Woods, and whilst you're in that area, a visit to the German war cemetery at Recogne should be taken in too. Bastogne is a good base to visit other WW2 museums, such as the one at La Gleize. If time permits the visitor, I would also strongly advise a visit to the small town of Wereth where there is a memorial to the 11 soldiers of the 333rd Field Artillery Battalion, an all-African-American unit, who were massacred during the Battle of the Bulge. Do your research prior to a visit to Bastogne, and plan your activities, you won't be disappointed.

Obviously there's a lot of historic value to Bastogne but this mainly can be found just out of the town itself. 'Downtown' is not really interesting and the WW2 legacy is being commercialised in an almost offensive way - but okay.
The War Museum is quite interesting and the audio guide is very well done. Although the entrance fee of 22 Euros per person is really steep!!

The property is very comfortably furnished, with a lovely, cozy and stylish feel to it. The kitchen had all the equipment we needed. The hotel is positioned in the heart of the town, and yet it was easy to reach and we could park the car for free close by(over the weekend), and we were not bothered by any noise from the streets. The owner has been very helpful and welcoming. In a nutshell: truly recommend this place.
The property was very clean, the location was in a residential area and was lovely and quiet, you could walk into the centre of Bastogne if you wanted to but it was about a mile away or take the car in 5 mins. Our host was very friendly and made our stay extremely enjoyable, unfortunately for us the weather was quite bad whilst we were there but we still had a good time
Hotel is very central. Our room in the annexe was huge . Breakfast was way beyond expectation, but with a €20 price tag. F Able to unload and re-pack at reserved bays before parking the bikes for free in the a little way off, otherwise it would have been a slog from the garage to the room. The welcoming chilled drink was a very nice touch.
Right in the center of Bastogne. Good continental breakfast with tea / coffee and fruit juices.
Pleasant and friendly staff. parking on the main square (there is a cost but we didn't use it during the day and cost was minimal)
