The maritime area is excellent for visitors.
The maritime area is excellent for visitors. The old ships & the submarine are worth visiting, as is the maritime museum & the Climate Experience Centre. Lots of outlet shopping, great food & very yummy ice cream. Driving around was quite easy although I walked a lot around the area. I liked the area around the old, new and Kaiser harbors including along the river. The Emigration Center was excellent. Unfortunately, very few interpretive signs along the harbors and what little there was was all in German. That would be a problem for non-German speakers. A sleepy town with nothing much to do. The museums are small and not very impressive. There is a beach, but it's small. I was there for work. But I would not recommend the place for travel or tourism.
