To find the restaurant to be a Michelin mentioned one was a nice surprise and the food was excellent.
However, to find the restaurant closed on the Monday night was a surprise, though they did say the chef might be able to rustle something up if necessary.
We found somewhere else for dinner but were surprised that no staff member was around anywhere (in reception or the dining area) in the afternoon/evening.
Breakfasts were buffet style with great choice available.

Plenty of space in the room - including kitchen area (although we didn’t use it). Liked the balcony too. Reception & the room had a warm feel. Ample parking for small fee.
This traditional hotel offers individually furnished rooms with breakfast included and free use of the 24-hour spa facilities. It lies just outside Sasbachwalden in the beautiful Black Forest.

The hotel was phenomenal from start to finish. We travelled to Sasbachwalden for the gluten free Christmas market since I have celiac disease. The gluten free breakfast exceeded my expectations, the variety was great, there was a coffee machine ready to use, fresh vegetables, fruit, yoghurt, we could ask for eggs if we wanted to, and the breakfast room was always very clean and comfortable. The rooms were fantastic, the sauna and spa area as well as the pool were exceptionally clean, equipped with showers and toilets, and open for 24 hour use. We got spa towels and bathrobes from the reception for 5€ per person and could use them throughout our stay. There was also a little “break room” where coffee, tea, and cocoa as well as cake (including gluten free!) were available free of charge every day between 12:00 and 18:00. Cold drinks and snacks were also available for a charge and always fresh. The staff was very kind and accommodating, offering to give us tips for the area as well as showing us around the hotel. We arrived later than planned due to traffic on our first day, after which we received a very quick response upon reaching out and we could check in through a key box instead.
The hotel also had amazing views and is just a short drive (or walk!) away from the town center and just a few kilometers from the next, slightly bigger town (Achern). The restaurants in the area were phenomenal (especially Gasthaus Bischenberg with its fully gluten free menu!) and we greatly enjoyed our stay. We will definitely be back!

Wonderful accommodation with stunning views. Nothing was too much trouble and hosts were friendly and welcoming, breakfast was amazing. We felt as if we had personal service throughout. It is a short walk to the centre of the tiny village, but worth it! Cannot say enough to praise this wonderful place.

Absolutely fantastic! We couldn’t believe that the price is so low for what you get in the end. The apartment is so comfortable, cute and cosy, the balcony view is spectacular, the lady that owns the house is very hospitable and authentic. There is a nice kitchen with everything you may need, including a great coffee machine and cold drinks. The beds are unbelievably comfortable which is not so easy to find when you are traveling. We have been travelling cross Europe for two weeks so far and this house was definitely the best!!!

Sasbachwalden is a beautiful village in the foothills of the Black Forest. It is nestled in the middle of some of the finest vineyards of the Rhine Valley and is the home of the renowned Vintner's Coopérative, Winzergenossenschaft Alder Gott. The wines are pricey, but well worth the trip.
Visitors should not miss the hike up the " Gaishölle" waterfalls (there is also the option to take a public bus to the top of the falls and hike down. Coming out at the top, hikers are rewarded with a bteathtaking panorama of the Rhine Valley and, depending on the time of day, gorgeous sunset over the Vosges mountains of France on the other side. On a clear day, you can spot Straßburg Cathedral.

A very nice old village with old German architecture.
A very nice old village with old German architecture. A small center with few shops but many restaurants. Accommodation I guess it would be very nice in any hotel or pension from this village because of the nice surrounding's landscape. If you are here don't hesitate to taste the local wine Alde Gott - the Black Forest wine from their special shop on the main road.

Ultra modern ‘Grand Designs’ style apartment with all the facilities you need. parking is easy and great location to village of Sasbachwalden (albeit up the hill from it). some great walks in the local area, the Schnappsbrunnen trail being an unusual highlight.

It was a lovely place in an incredible location. The view was spectacular when it wasn't obscured by the rain which we were blessed with on and off for our stay. The restaurant was nice and the food was good. Comfortable beds and nice bathroom.
