Good location if you're going to alcala university, good breakfast, neat hotel, clean rooms. Attention to details in the rooms.
Ibis Madrid Alcalá de Henares is next to Dehesa Shopping Centre, 30 minutes’ drive from Madrid. It features a 24-hour bar and air-conditioned rooms with satellite TV and Wi-Fi access.

Great value for money for this hotel. The room was always spotlessly clean. The breakfast buffet was good. The hotel parking was also convenient. We will definitely be back next time.
This design hotel is in the centre of Alcalá de Henares, with easy access by car to Madrid. The hotel has a hot tub, open in summer, from 3rd June, with great views.

We really enjoyed the breakfast. There was lot of things to choose from and the staff there were friendly and helpful. It's not located in the centre, but because it's a small town, everything is very close. The room was clean and the beds were comfortable.
Situated in Alcalá’s La Garena district, Ibis Alcalá de Henares La Garena offers smart, air-conditioned accommodation with TVs. It has a restaurant and a 24-hour reception.
This establishment is next to Puerta de Mártires, a completely central location 50 metres from Cisneriana University and a short distance by foot to the train station.
Cozy and centric hotel near city center with great value
Situated 12 minutes' walk from Alcalá old town, Cisneros Hotel is connected by the A2 motorway to Madrid’s IFEMA convention centre and Barajas Airport. It offers free Wi-Fi.
Good location a short walk (15 mins) from city center.
Historical and gorgeous. Lots to see. Food is amazing and cheap. Everything is walkable. Dont need too much time to explore all of Alcala. Highly suggest the empanada place and visiting the Cathedral. There were also some travelling shows going on in the square that seemed interesting. That is where you follow the actors to different locations which enhances the atmosphere of the show.

Alcala dates back to Roman Times and has an interesting history. It has the oldest university in Spain, an Archbishop's palace, a cathedral and is the birthplace of Cervantes - the author of Don Quixote. However, the newer parts of the town have absolutely nothing to recommend them.

We visited in the middle of a heatwave so unfortunately we couldn't explore as much as we would have liked. The historic centre is fascinating, with many beautiful buildings, including the old University and the cathedral with its spectacular reliquary. Calle Mayor is a lively shopping street with plenty of restaurants and tapas bars under its shady ancient arcades (apparently the longest such street in Spain?). The Archaeological museum has some marvellous treasures – and air con! Madrid is a short, easy (and cheap!) train journey away.

The staff were pleasant and helpful and the room and the breakfast were great and were what I had paid for- Only location issues were the reason for my stay not being perfect.
I was only there for one night and needed to be in Madrid to meet people at the airport the next day. I did not realize how far it was from both the train station and the airport, there was no transport besides cabs.

Alcala de Henares is a UNESCO city, which means its historically significant as not only a university city but a city of monuments. It's easy to get around on foot, and it preserves the arched walkway and numerous plazas to explore. We took an easy train from Madrid (approx. $8 for two people) Chamartin Station to downtown Alcala. Easy enough access to Barajas Airport. We dined at a wonderful Argentine restaurant in the center.

Location. Just a short walk to the town centre, including the Plaza de Cervantes. Great atmosphere in the town during the weekend. Bathroom looked to be newly refurbished. Compact, but nice. Friendly staff. The bedroom was a small single, not luxury, but very good value. My second time at this hotel. Booked again for July.
Aircon worked very well.
40 min. walk to city centre of beautifull Alcala, only 5 minutes to the train stop, where you can go to also to the Madrid city centre.
Great for a bussiness travel.
