The proprietress was friendly and helpful and allowed us to use her kitchen to heat some food and eat it on the terrace. Ornans itself is a lovely small town. We had booked the smaller room but chose to upgrade to a lovely larger one with large bathroom, as we were staying two nights. The house is full of character in an artistic way reminiscent of a bygone era.

The house is very near downtown and has all you need to spend a wonderful time, including reading by the edge of the river. Sonia is a very warm and attentive host. She gave us a lot of good advice for the stay. Do not hesitate to stay here for a visit to Franche-Comté!

We were travelling on foot and were not really able to go back into town for an evening restaurant. Instead, the host brought us a good meal from his rotisserie restaurant in Ornans.
