super helpful staff. we checked in after-hours & they helped accommodate so we arrived late and had easy access to our room. and they were very apologetic re: the shower, giving us a souvenir gift as a token of apology.
the sheets & bed were super comfortable & plush. they had lovely floor pillows we used to watch the sunrise from the room.
the views were outstanding from the indoor pool.

This is a sweet little market town that is close to everything. You can hike and ski and mountain bike right from the town. You do not need a car to get around - you can walk and take very efficient public transport everywhere. The restaurants around the main square are lovely and there are two grocery stores for essentials.

The resort was very good, as we had our grandkids skiing for the first time, so there was suitable runs for them as well as more experienced skiers.
The village was easy to walk around with suitable shops and resturants to suit all needs whether self catering or eating out.

There is a regional train that runs frequently to and from Chamonix, and which serves this beautiful small town. The Tramway Du Mt. Blanc starts in the lower town area near the French railways station. The tramway {a cog railway} is in the process of making major renovations, with the train sets being replaced recently. The top two stations were not accessible on our visit, but I was able to reach Col de Voza, where is located a hotel where I worked one summer while an undergraduate student {in 1970}. The tramway is used in summer months by many hikers who use trails on the lower portions of Mt.Blanc. It will once again extend to near the Bionassay Glacier in 2025 if work is completed on schedule. Due to climate change, this glacier has retreated more than a mile from where it reached in 1970. St. Gervais is a major skiing destination in winter months.

Nice slopes.
Nice slopes. We had some that had artificial snow, but this will depend on the seasons. Red runs were very feasible. A few valleys and different resorts are interconnected. The skiing village has got limited entertainment but is very family friendly. Great view of the Mont Blanc!

In the winter, it is a great place for skiers and snowboarders of all abilities, as the slopes ranged from green to black, and span many many kilometres. The town itself is a small one, so will suit those travellers who are not looking for nightlife but enjoy peace and quiet instead. In terms of getting there, if you are travelling by public transport, plan your visit carefully. We ended up walking from and to the nearby Le Fayet town where St Gervais les Bains Le Fayet train station is location, but be mindful that getting from the train station involves quite a bit of an ascent up the hill, so not recommended for everyone but for those who like walking/don't have too much luggage. There are also local buses but do check their schedule in advance.

Great location directly a bottom of ski piste and stunning views on MtBlanc. Ski rental shop and lift at your doorstep. Generally great hospitality by personnel that’s running the hotel (new management). Really enjoyed breakfast with a good espresso. Good choice for diner and great wines. Hotel very basic but sufficiently comfortable for the price level. Great sauna too! Overall had a great time and good value for money.
Superb and beautiful chalet hotel with amazing restaurant. Views of the mountains and fantastic view of Mont Blanc. Beautifully decorated and maintained with lovely staff. Our room with balcony views was so lovely that we didn’t want to leave! Would definitely recommend!
Friendly staff, easy check in, excellent location, brilliant breakfast, great shower pressure, small but cosy, clean room, great vibe in the bar/ eatery area. Quiet at night in hotel (a little noise from the street but that is to be expected in a ski town on a Friday…)
Comfortable well built and managed hotel, with its own underground parking, lovely room and views, terrific (Italian) restaurant, great breakfast, a short walk from the town with its cafés shops and viewing terrace. near Mont Blanc train when running.
Location is right next to the tramway dy mont blanc station which is great. Value for money compared to other accommodation in the valley. The pool and sauna was really nice. Parking right next to the hotel
