Its definitely value but not great for location or places to eat (unless you want to eat at the hotel that has a basic menu). Staff friendly and helpful. Room very basic and dated and needs a bit of modernisation. In an industrial estate with very little around so need a car to get around even for food or shopping. Bed was really soft and bouncy like staying on a water bed.

Great location, very close to train station and the free parking spot was a bonus as I’d travelled down by car. Receptionists were really friendly and helpful. Bed was clean and room was warm, and the bed was comfy. Iron, ironing board, towels, and tea/coffee provided.

    I was very surprised at how far down the tubes Wakefield has gone. The once famous Westgate Run which was a pub crawl up the main street is now almost non existent with the majority of bars closed. The ones that are open are obviously struggling (with the exception of The Waterloo). Sign of the times, maybe, but the sign you pass going to the Railway Station which states 'Support Wakefield Rejuvenation' says everything you need to know about the place

    I,m sorry to have to say this but Wakefield has had the heart ripped out of it it was a thriving bustling town in the 80,s but now its just polish shops and turkish cafe,s no market completely destroyed .

    Ossett and Wakefield are lovely places to visit. Smart shops and places to eat, Ossett has a lovely market that is held on a Tuesdays and Fridays. Good pubs and good fish and chip shops too Avery good transpot link.

    Wakefield itself is quite interesting, and the cathedral is lovely. The coffee shop I went in (name forgotten unfortunately) also seemed to do a good range of interesting cakes. It was quite near the main station.

    Wakefield is a very compact city, lots of shops and plenty of places to eat. Convenient to travel to other locations. Cathedral is nice. The Six Chimney's a lovely pub and great food. Two train stations made travel to nearby places easy.

    This is a spacious and well furnished, practical flat to stay in while visiting Wakefield, where we have family. The flat is within walking distance from the centre, so very convenient for access to restaurants etc. The beds were very comfortable, and there is plenty of seating in the living room with plenty of natural light.

    Lovely hotel, really enhoyed our stay. Spacious, comfortable and clean. Staff were very helpful and friendly. Location is great with being so close to the M1 yet still easy access to city centre either by car or public transport. Will definately look at staying again.
