Suited our needs perfectly.
Cot was provided as requested.
All contact was via Booking .com messages which is great but I didn't know to look there so was a bit frustrated when I couldn't get an answer straight away from calling the phone.

Far better than expected. Host was ace over breakfast. Live music in the evening was great and finished prompt (for all of us guests). Public transport was easy.

Hotel was fine for one night. Pool really busy with classes and lessons so we didn’t bother so can’t comment on how that facility was. We stayed in a small room which was really small but again, it was fine for just one night

Quick stay before flying on holiday. Room was comfy if a little on the chilly side when we arrive, which was likely caused by the window not closing tightly.
Food in the restaurant was tasty and the staff were friendly and helpful.

Out of our 6 weeks holiday traveling around, Wilmslow was the best town we had been in. Loved the shops, the Juniper Cafe was amazing, all our food and our drinks were sooo good. Easy to find our way around and get a carpark. Lovely countryside too.

On arrival I had twin room booked , stated on app that we would arrive following day between 00:00 to 1:00. Hotel gave our room away and offered a double bed to us. This was not appropriate as and left me furious. Have since contacted hotel with no response. They made no effort on the night to sort situation. I paid for a twin room and expected to receive it on arrival. Instead I ended up sleeping on floor and believe I should be compensated for such a poor experience. I would expect the hotel make some effort to at least reimburse half the fair of the room as a result. To say I’m furious is an understatement

Nice town with some very good restaurants - we recommend Eastern Revived restaurant which gets very busy so advise to book. Excellent train link into central Manchester - the duo ticket was just £12.30 return for the two of us.

The location is ok to travel to Manchester airport.
The location is ok to travel to Manchester airport.
WiFi and use of the pool were both extra charges.
We would not stay again if were traveling to the UK and Manchester airport.
The hotel is dated and needs a clean up around the rooms and outside was dirty looking. Some of the carpark was closed off so the taxis were having to turn around and squeeze back out the way they came in with the other the traffic..?🙄
The location of the bar right next to the reception area wasn't the best, for eating and drinking while the doors kept opening and closing..

Been through this answer before did not really have any opinion because of the short stay but what I saw was not. Impressive. I should start by stating it did have a lift but rest of Hotel left Much to be desired was old and needed. A facelift, neesa couple of vending machines which do not eat your money. . Pillows too small beds not too comfortable. My view was not good.. Overall. The best thing about the stay was the English breakfast in the morning. Staff was helpful but the lobby Had limited vending machines which ate my money. The other option was the bar and it was only open for short hours during the day to sell sweets etc.
would suggest a small store near check in to handle candy and perhaps some soft drinks . facility seemed dated and could use a good face lift. .Location not the most. Ideal for airport acces

The staff are older are friendly and have been there a long time. The wifi was good. The location is rural and very green. The building is a mish mash of centuries from 16th C to 1980's/90's. Bathrooms clean & do tidy/clean room daily. Big plus since after Covid hotels have cut costs by not cleaning rooms or filling up teas/milk etc unless you ask them i.e. Premier Inn.
I stayed at the hotel many years ago at various times when it was called The Valley Lodge Hotel, and I loved it. I was a little dissapointed with the bedroom this time, the bed needs to be replaced it was very un comfortable and noisy when you turned over. But all in all it was a good choice and the price was very good. We would stay there again anytime.
We were visiting family living in Wilmslow, so the Wilmslow Lodge was in an ideal location for us. The hotel was very comfortable and warm whilst it was snowing with an Arctic blast.
We dined in the adjacent Coach and Four and weren't disappointed.
