Everything was absolutely perfect. Our hosts Galina and Dimitri were fabulous and could not do enough for us. The apartment was superb and the terrace exceeded our expectation and is worth revisiting for that alone with those views and facilities.

The location is great. The staff were so friendly. Especially the lady manager, Virginie, always cheery, always happy to help. The views are fantastic and it was lovely to see the sunsets. The hotel is in 5 mins walking distance from 3 restaurants. We liked "The Picnic" the best - lots of choice of Greek dishes at extremely reasonable prices. We walked to 3 beaches (Jeresulem, Alati & Foki) on different days while we were there - long walks but the scenery is stunning. The best walk is to Foki Beach (its all downhill). We sunbathed on the beach then had lunch at the Foki Tavern (this was very popular with the locals) the food again was really good and cheap. We then walked from there to Fiskardau (20 minutes). These views were amazing. We did this route 3 times. We walked back from Fiskadau once (long way 1hr 10 mins) and took a taxi twice (12 Euros - 7/8 mins). The taxi rank is very easy to find.

Great sized studio apartment with terrace area. Comfortable and clean with everything you need. A few minutes walk to a bustling port with restaurants and bars with beaches around the corner. Owner was very friendly and helpful and went out of his way to ensure we had a pleasant stay. We were travelling through so only had one night but would go back again.

Located just 5 mins from Myrtos beach, the property was spacious and adequately equipped. It was also relatively quiet with an option to sit outside at the front or the back of the building. The host was attentive and checked everything was ok a short while after we checked in.
ASOS is a small village full of pretty painted houses...
ASOS is a small village full of pretty painted houses reflecting its Venetian heritage. It has an excellent cafe and three traditional Greek tavernas - the best one being in the village square opposite the cafe. A varied menu full of delicious home made food. Run by the wonderful Panagiotis. We ate there both nights.
The village is very simple and doesn’t feel like a tourist trap. In September, if you want to be in the sun the far side of the bay receives the most sunlight all day into the evening.
The added benefit is that there are no cars in the village. Taxis can come in and out but hire cars are in a large car park next to the pathway up to the remains of a castle on the hill. The views along the coast are magnificent. It’s easy to walk around the village.
A two night stay was about right and we are glad to have visited.

Picturesque!
Picturesque! Small enough village to be able to walk everywhere if you're reasonably fit (it's steep!). There are a couple of mini-marts for all the basics and a few other shops. There's a town beach and nearby coves and the sea is clear and has great snorkelling - plenty to see! With a boat you'd find deserted coves too. There's a ruined Venetian castle and a cave to discover too. Very winding access road into the village - hairpin bends all the way. A large carpark as you arrive, on the outskirts, and another carpark nearer the sea. Both are an easy walk into the village. Only about an hour's drive from the airport. A handful of restaurants, some better than others, but all had their merits. Loads of cats everywhere!

Beautiful little village, a very comfortable and quiet place during the summer nights. Nice 2 beaches and 4 restaurants will make your stay memorable. We stayed in Asos twice and were satisfied both times.

The view of the town from above is very suggestive; I didn't frequent the nearby beaches and I'm not sure they were there. The village is nice to see in the evening, but maybe just 2/3 days. I think for a longer period it would be boring. However, in the vicinity of other towns, there are taverns, not right on the sea, where you can eat very well at prices that are more than fair for the average of the island, which in general I think is too expensive.

The village of Assos is exceptionally beautiful and charming...
The village of Assos is exceptionally beautiful and charming and the swimming from its three beaches is world class! It still has a village feel and despite being so pretty, it isn't swamped by tourists.
We tried all the restaurants except for Three Wise Monkeys but our favourite, hands down, was Estiatorio Platanos, away from the beach in the main square. The food there was exceptional and the aubergine ragout was the tastiest vegetarian dish I've ever eaten anywhere.
The village bakery is fabulous too, and won't break the bank!

A beautiful village with three restaurants and two well...
A beautiful village with three restaurants and two well stocked mini markets. All our meals were good but there is little variety if you are staying for a week and you may wish to hire a car to visit other places to eat. The swimming is lovely and safe for children but it was quiet in late May but could get very busy in high season with only a small beach.
Fiscardo is close and provides an alternative evening venue if you are confident to drive the roads after dark.
I would recommend for an early or late season break.

The hotel is in a very beautiful location with lovely views from the pool and from our room. We were really pleased that we chose Assos, as it was the loveliest place we visited on Kefalonia, and felt very lucky a room was available at Roi suites. The suite was spacious, clean and pretty and we had everything we needed. We would definitely go back.
One of the best placed I'd stayed it! The room is very clean, moder and with everything that you need. You can hear the waves, as Asoss is a very quite place. Location is excelent and the host was lovely.
Unbeatable location with a stunning view from the balcony. Hosts were incredibly friendly and accommodating, providing valuable information on Asos and the surrounding areas.
