Charming small city but challenging with a car due to the one-ways, narrow streets and confusing signage.
Some areas look a little rough and socially deprived when approaching the centre. Warm hearted residents with a good sense of humour.

We had a family night away in Cork city, this hotel hits all the right notes for a family stay. Staff were friendly, helpful, and presented as staff that enjoyed their work and were respected and treated well by management. Staff were kind and friendly with our children. Lovely rooms, simple, smart, and minimalist decor throughout, great breakfast. Great location in a residential area only minutes walk from city centre. We'll be back....
Excellent location, literally in the city centre, staff are amazing. Breakfast was brilliant, rooms a good size, quiet no noise at night or morning even with window open. Walked to the Gaol from here within 30mins, got the bus to blarney castle and the road behind the hotel some brilliant bars with live music, excellent restaurants and cocktail bar
Room was facing the River Lee which was nice though we were only on the first floor.
We tried dinner at the hotel one night. It was just ok. Not great preparation or value for money. It is better to go out to the city centre.
Breakfast was a large buffet spread and very sumptuous.
Ample basement parking for free.
Location was perfect as was the hotel. We decided not to have the breakfast as we thought it was a little pricey. But we were quite surprised to se that breakfast in the city centre was the same price or more. Next time we stay more than likely we will book breakfast aswell.
