We visited Dingle at the time of Storm Darragh - this resulted in a power cut for many, many hours! Dermot was an amazing host during this time and managed to rustle us up breakfast and hot tea + coffee, despite the black out! Dermot was incredibly welcoming and the B&B was lovely and comfortable. We’d love to come back and visit again, hopefully in better weather!

Pubs are great if that’s your thing. So too the proximity to amazing beaches and views.
The aquarium is the best I’ve seen in Ireland, really worth a look for the sharks and penguins alone.
Easy town to walk around.
However - get ready to be mugged. Insane prices for tourists are omnipresent, it’s not pleasant in any way to feel like you’re being milked to the max at every opportunity.
Small ice cream cone - €6. God knows how much for a medium or large.
Thin steak that’s half the size of a supermarket €6 steak - €40. You get the picture.
Hotel prices - pay 5 star, get 3 star.
4 pairs of socks, €55.

What an amazing place - really relaxed vibe and friendly locals. We went for a drink at Foxy John's - what an amazing place. We drove the Conor Pass and Slea Head Drive - as part of the Wild Atlantic Way - both highly recommended.

I first heard of Dingle as a remote area of Ireland where Gaelic was still spoken. Obviously, it has been discovered and visited by many.
That did not impact our enjoyment at all, as we loved being there.
The beautiful sea coast, the ruins, and of course the delightful Irish people make it a visit to remember.

Although our hotel was expensive, the town of Dingle is quite a treasure and we wished we stayed longer!
Traditional Irish-cultured shops with Gaelic language and folklore, balanced with modern, hipster coffee shops and stores. Weather is unpredictable (as it is in all of Ireland), but we had a fun night out on the town regardless and great window shopping streak the next day. The local bars were great craic -- even on a Tuesday night!! Highly recommend staying out for some pints, for the lively and joyous singing and dancing!

Highlights were the boat trip to Blasket Island, the Slea Head drive and swimming at Ventry Beach. Local food is quite hit and miss, with the 'best' meal in one of the most highly recommended places remaining pretty average. All the food is overpriced, especially for the quality being offered, except for one place, a veggie vegan café called Seed & Soul, which was the best quality and value-for-money food we had during our stay.

We only stayed one night at the Lighthouse, to meet with family in Dingle town. But we were pleased with our spacious twin room (double bed and single) which looked out over the harbour, and would have been happy to stay longer if our plans (and Storm Ernesto) had permitted. The BnB is well situated to explore Dingle on foot, and has adequate on-site parking for a car, which is a bonus. The beautiful Dingle Peninsula loop is an easy drive or cycle away.
Short Strand Dingle was a wonderful B&B to stay in just outside of the main town of Dingle. Gorgeous views over the Irish countryside that could be enjoyed from our room or while we had a delicious and we'll catered breakfast. The rooms were spotless, we couldn't fault it!
The hotel is located right on the waterfront with dramatic views out across Dingle Bay. It is across the bay from Dingle town centre, so very quiet, but only a 10 minute walk to the town for restaurants, bars etc. It's a really beautiful spot.
Fantastic location overlooking the bay, spotlessly clean and comfortable room. Nicely finished bathroom, and lively breakfast. Very close to Dingle, easily walked into the town in 10 minutes, where there are plenty of restaurants and pubs
Stayed for one night and found the hotel to be in an excellent location close to everything in the town, staff were brilliant and breakfast was outstanding. Will definitly be going back there to stay again
