We spent Christmas at Mount Brandon Cottages, mother(me!) three adult children and my daughter's partner. Within minutes of arriving on Christmas Eve, Andrea came to welcome us and give us a tour of the house and tell us how everything worked.We had already seen the Christmas wreaths on the doors which was a lovely touch..we went into the house and Andrea had left a Christmas card, a plate of delicious home made cookies, there were lovely Christmas bits and bobs everywhere and in the sitting room..a decorated, lit up Christmas tree! We were really blown away by the thoughtfulness and effort, it was so homely and cosy, it just made our Christmas. We got settled in and few hours later, Andrea texted to check that everything was good...which it was! The house was spotless, very well equipped, so comfortable with sustainability to the forefront. The location was beautiful, gorgeous views and a short walk into the town and the river and forest walks. Andrea came back to see us as we were packing up to go and we had a great chat with her. The personal attention as well as the house itself was just such a positive experience. Thank you Andrea and I hope we get to go back to Mount Brandon in the future.

well,,late arriving, so my host had the cottage heated,, to the extent of the stanly oven on all cylenders,,, a fire lit in the bedroom [i kid you not] we had a few bits from aldi and a hot bath to rest the weary bones. the internet is fab and there are stables out the front door,,tv is not my thing but its got upteen chanels via internet,,,,the stars shun and no traffic, beautifull country walks and the canal/river is 10 minutes away,, view is amazeyballs,,,you cant miss this tranquil spot

We recently had the pleasure of staying at Borris House for one night, and it was a delightful experience. The property itself is stunning, steeped in history and set amidst beautiful gardens that provide a tranquil atmosphere. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated, and impeccably clean. We appreciated the thoughtful touches, such as the comfortable bedding and tea/coffee and biscuits provided. The hosts were warm and welcoming, making me feel right at home. They provided excellent recommendations for local dining and attractions all in walking distance, which enhanced our stay. Borris House is a perfect blend of comfort and charm, making it an ideal spot for anyone looking to escape for a night or two. I highly recommend it and will definitely be returning!
