Wonderful spacious room. The western beds were very comfy and everything was clean and modern.
There is a comfortable seating area in addition to the table and chairs.
Very close to the station. We were kindly allowed an early check-in and to leave our bags on the day of check out. We were able to see Fuji from our tiny balcony -just over the neighbouring Family Mart.
Highly recommended, we would return without hesitation!!

The room was clean and beautiful. The view was great... although if there was a little bit of tree trimming, the view would be incredible. The staff were very hospitable and we could communicate in English with the front desk. They even drove us to the nearest station (twice) to catch a bus, so that we could do some things nearby. (it is too far to walk) It was very quiet and peaceful at night. I would definitely stay here again!

Fujikawaguchiko is a stunning destination with plenty to offer! I thoroughly enjoyed the peaceful boat ride on Lake Kawaguchi, which provided incredible views of Mount Fuji. Taking the cable car up the mountain was another highlight, offering breathtaking panoramic scenery. It’s a perfect place for relaxation and appreciating the beauty of nature. Highly recommended for anyone visiting the area!

While the place is made a lot better by a visible Mt Fuji, it was still beautiful when it was not visible. We stayed two days in the area, so we spent time in the Maple corridor when Mt Fuji was not visible, and luckily it showed up on the second day for our Chureito Pagoda visit. Unfortunately the ropeway got really busy and we weren't keen to wait for it. But the lake itself looked wonderful on a sunny day.

Although it depends on luck to view Mt Fuji, all the sites, the cruise, the ropeway, the shrines, the parks, the lakes are very enjoyable. Definitely a fantastic place to visit.
The only reminder is to get up and start the day early, as the shops and restaurants closed early, normally before 6 in autumn.

a great location to enjoy the Fuji scenery around the lake.
a great location to enjoy the Fuji scenery around the lake. There are many locations, cafe , restaurants to visit, so; i would recommend to stay 3 days to cover the area without rushing. and these 3 days will allow the chance to see Fuji in case of the sky close on certain day, who knows. I visited here twice and both times, there was only 1 day that sky opened. The other days were raining and cloudy.

In October 15 deg and raining, it was like a run down resort. The only reason to go is to use the hotels and as a base to go to other places. So many places closed down. Scruffy which is not like Japan at all compared with everywhere else we went.
A lot of places just shut so guess its out of season?
Bike hire is ridiculously cheap so do that.
Top of the cable car is a view of Fuji if you are lucky. But its really tacky. Go to the pagoda if its clear.

The hotel is on a hill overlooking the kawaguchiko Lake. It does not have a direct view of Mt. Fuji, but there is a short hike you can take to see the peak. The place is also right next to the cable car gate. Making it very convenient for travelers. The hotel offers free pick up and drop to the bus station to all guests.
We loved the public and private baths they have. Plus, the complimentary tea and snack from 3-5pm and dinner from 5-7pm was very nice.
Our room was 413, which is a massive Japanese style space overlooking the lake.
The location was a bit far from the train station but it was very private and quiet. You will have whole view of Mount Fuji for yourself, the feeling is unique, unlike when you are somewhere in town, when the view of Mt Fuji is “distracted” by other landscapes. We could also enjoy the view of Kawaguchiko lake. In general, we would choose again Fuji View Hotel next time if we go back.
Public bath was very clean and comfortable.
Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Absolutely lovely ryokan right next to the lake that has its own gender-separated indoor onsen. Has a very traditional Japanese feel and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. Amazing value for money. There's also a public park right next door that has views across the lake and also of Mt. Fuji. Bus stop nearby as well.
