Great location, possibility to use underground passage from the Sapporo JR Station all the way to Susukino area.
Clean room, good amenities, clean bathroom and lovely bed and pillows. For a single traveller the room was enough sizewise since it was mainly for sleeping and tidying up. Opted for buying breakfast from conbini and stored it in the minibar provided in the room.

Sapporo is an incredible destination that offers a perfect blend of modern city life and natural beauty. The city’s charm is truly unmatched, with its stunning snowy landscapes in the winter and vibrant atmosphere year-round.
From the moment I arrived, I was impressed by how well-connected the city is. Public transport, including trams, is convenient, and getting around the city is a breeze. Whether you're visiting local attractions like the Sapporo Clock Tower or enjoying the scenic beauty of Odori Park, the city has so much to offer.
One of the highlights of my trip was the warmth of the people. Despite the cold weather, everyone I encountered was friendly and welcoming. I particularly loved the little touches, like the amazing halal Turkish restaurant just a short walk away from my stay. The owner was so kind, and the food was delicious!
The city's food scene is another big win – from the famous miso ramen to fresh seafood, there is something for every taste. It was also great to have access to a well-equipped place to stay, where I could cook and steam a delicious king crab I bought locally – a real highlight of the trip!
Sapporo is a city that combines beautiful sights with amazing food, and most importantly, incredible people. It’s definitely a place I’ll visit again!

Go during the annual snow festival with the sculptures made from snow and ice, some 4 stories high. Plenty of good shops and restaurants and entertainment. Went on a couple of full day bus tours which were both great. Chuo bus.

Sapporo is a great base for outdoor activities like skiing, snowboarding, hiking, picnicking, and more. It's big enough to have all the conveniences you want and options for things to eat and do, while also being small enough to get around easily and efficiently. As a more recently-built city, the street grid system is easy to navigate on foot or by car.

I was in Sapporo for their winter festival and it was very enjoyable. The snow and ice sculptures were phenomenal.
Besides from the winter festival I visited the Curb Market and Sapporo Beer Museum, both of which were great. I got fresh grilled King Crab at the Curb Market, which was very good.

Some very nice places to visit just outside of Sapporo, a subway or tram ride. The Tsudome site for the Snow Festival was fun, even for a slightly elderly person. Ski jump hill was great as was Mt Milwaukee on a clear night. Every restaurant we ate in had really nice food. Hope to return. Missed out of going to the close ski fields and luge run at Fu’s, so will save that for next time.

Due to snowing, driving will take some time. i suggest 1 location full day. Rent a car, it's a good choice. Snow period is dangerous so drive slow...i will assume car rental will fit the snow tires. i was there for 5 days, not enough...i think 7-10 days is good

The Sapporo Grand is in a fantastic location for ease of access to/ from airports, trains, subway, bus, shopping centres, tourist attractions and and food outlets.
The hotel exudes elegance and stately ambiance - a grand lady whose staff are unfailingly helpful and courteous, nothing is too much trouble. We really enjoyed our stay there as we felt very welcome. There is a range of dining, coffee places, lounges and bars within the hotel complex to suit almost any tastes and their buffet breakfasts and lunches are superb
Hotel Monterey Edelhof Sapporo is near Nijo market or Tanukikoji shopping street 1 chome about 10mins walk.
The interior decorating of hotel is a grand style. The hot spring bath is 2500 yen for guest. Paking is 1500 yen per day (unlimited in and out) . The receptionists are very helpful and housekeepers are very careful. The room is big, clean. We had a great holiday.
1.close to the Sapporo central station and the biggest shopping mall.
2.close to Odori park where the annual Snow festival is held.
3.Close to the Clock tower museum. 4.Right across the road is Starbucks and many convenience stores, bistros and bakery nearby.
5. Has a bathtub despite its small space and plenty of hot water. shower works great.
Love the luxury zen feel of the hotel. Everything was impeccable and the rooms were so comfortable. My favourite naturally was the onsen with it's bamboo materials and lovely pools. It's within walking distance to Hokkaido University Botanical Gardens, Odori Park and the Sapporo TV Tower...Thoroughly enjoyed my stay here!
The hotel is a brand new one, just across the Sapporo JR Station. Very convenient if you just stay overnight in Sapporo. The hotel room is small, but very clean.
