Large rooms, staff were helpful. Loved the decor - especially the George Nakashima benches on the lobby. Breakfast was really good for a buffet style.

The location was great the hotel is next to the train/bus station and other nice convenience stores. Washing machines were good, they can wash and dry your clothes all at one time, but better not to do it with huge bulky clothes cause they won't be dry unless you pay extra. The staff were great and kind, they had rocky English but they did a great job handling jobs that came their way. They also have other good services but need to do your research on them, they also had a scale which was very helpful for me since I needed to measure the weight of my bags.

Such a beautiful, clean city. If you enjoy shopping it has a lot to offer! Wonderful restaurants as well. We did a lot of walking but used the hop on bus as well. Did I mention delicious food and great shopping! Friendly and helpful people made it easier for us to find destinations in the city and other cities like Tokyo. Trains are not hard to figure out, and someone will always help if you just ask. Hotels are beautiful and less expensive than Tokyo, so stay here and ride the train to Tokyo. It only takes 30 minutes to get there.

We really enjoyed our time in Yokohama.
We really enjoyed our time in Yokohama. Our view was great with a giant ferris wheel and gondola ride and an amusement park directly in front of our window. We enjoyed the view so much that we left the curtains open all night. The hotel was above multiple stores and restaurants which was nice. The train station was also right next to the hotel. Korea town was within walking distance and the Landmark skyscraper was right next door that had an observation area on the 69th floor with fantastic views! We would definitely recommend this hotel.

Yokohama is a wonderful city with being next to the water it creates a very different vibe. Lots to do here and could have stayed another couple of days. The harbour area has so many options with things to do and see. The walking area around the bay is very good so well set out. Chinatown is great and there's plenty of traditional Japanese eating options to.

Great city - clean, functional and with a bit more space than in Tokyo. Convenient in that the Shinkansen runs through here and gets you up and down Japan fast. Next time I visit Japan I think I’ll stay in Yokohama compared to Tokyo as it’s much cheaper, rooms in hotels are larger, there’s an interesting Chinatown and a slightly more cosmopolitan culture than even Tokyo. Fabulous history of Japan’s first real international business trading in the 1860s.

As it was only 30 minutes to Tokyo station it was convenient and cheaper to stay in Yokohama than Tokyo. A fairly seamless trip to Tokyo and onto Narita airport via Narita Express from Tokyo train station.

Very luxury hotel in Yokohama,I had an amazing stay,my room was the luxe twin room, very spacious and beautifully designed, the view was perfect over the city and harbour, the location is excellent, the staff in the hotel are amazing, very polite and kind, the customer service in this hotel is the best, they upgraded my room after my request ,I was very satisfied with everything,it was my last stop in Japan, and was the best, highly recommend this hotel
The location is very central, but it is close to overground tracks for commuter trains so it is a bit noisy. If you have a light sleep it may not work.
The rooms are clean, small as typical for a Japanese business hotel. In the higher floors one has access to small lounges with free drinks including beer and wine, which is very nice.
Good location, clean. The hotel had small extra things like chargers for all type of electrical devices, washing machines etc. Things that one really appreciates after being in the country for more than two weeks. Best value for money hotel during our stay in Japan. Decent size of the rooms compared to some other rooms in Tokyo.
I travel nearly 6 months a year and often come here when I am in Japan. I love the apartments and the views from this building, and Yokohama is a great city to live in. The hotel staff is always attentive at every detail and helpful whenever I have a request. Excellent stay as before.
Loved everything about the Hotel New Grand. The staff were exceptional from the first moment to the last. Great room for a family with two double beds and a sofabed. Great location from which to explore Yokohama. We really enjoyed our stay.
