The worst city on Morocco. After spending two delightful weeks in Morocco my last stop was Tangier. Very unfortunate. Unlike Rabat, Marakech, Meknes or even Casablanca, the people I encountered in Tangier were rude and unhelpful. Great city by ferry. Other areas are inconveniently located. Police are looking for money. 61 km is speeding and fee is 150 dirhams. No cell in hand while driving, not even with Waze or Maps. A week will be too long for most people - there is a couple of museums (the American Legation in particular) to visit, apart from the kasbah and the medina but other than that, not much to do. We wanted to soak up the sun and recharge our batteries so there was plenty of opportunity to sit up on the terrace of the Riad, and there are enough eating places (though Chez Hassan was worth the queue for the tuna, and mixed fish brochettes!)
