Great location - the hotel restaurant is right on the beach. It’s on the quiet end of the beach too( the rest of the beach can get busy. This is more of an authentic Mexican cultural experience vs an American one. The rooms are spacious with large terraces. Handy to have a fully functioning kitchenette in the room. Staff are super friendly. 10 min walk to the town centre.

Some friends recommended this place to me, and honestly, it didn’t meet my expectations. While the pool is beautiful and the rooms spacious, there was a lot to be desired.

Sayulita is either a destination or a quick visit depending on your mood. We spent a week there and luxuriated in the slow pace that allowed. There is not much to see around the area (i.e. historical sites or multiple or easy jungle access) but you can keep yourself busy in Sayulita alone if your goal is to surf, hang on the beach or shop and eat excellent food. If you like to bounce around and see all the sights on your trips, then Sayulita is worth a visit but not a stay.

We absolutely loved the hotel.
We absolutely loved the hotel. It does not have a big hotel feel - it is much better. Front desk staff were very friendly, helpful and caring.
The place is beautiful and is super clean. The breakfast is amazing. There are lots of traditional Mexican offerings as well as eggs, bacon, pancakes, toast, cereal and three choices of really good fruit and tea, coffee && juices. The staff is great. This hotel is a major reason I would go back to Sayulita. No complaints, they even supply towels for the pools(2) or beach. Submitted by Dave, Marianne’s husband

Fantastic little town, you can spend endless hours hopping from restaurant to taco stand. Get's a little crowded during peak seasons, but everybody is super friendly, the beaches are great and plenty of opportunities for shopping as well as drinks and food.

There are great restaurants and good shopping!
There are great restaurants and good shopping! We enjoyed many activities such as horseback riding, atving, yoga, water sports, shopping, relaxing, sitting on the beach while having a drink, etc. As we are not night people, we really enjoyed staying in the northern part of the area where there are less bars and loud music at night.

We rented a golf cart which made getting around very easy.
We rented a golf cart which made getting around very easy. There's a plethora of restaurants from taco stands to dinner dancing. We enjoyed numerous but Don Pedros had excellent food with salsa lessons and a salsa band on Monday night. Our goal for the trip was rest and relaxation so we didn't take advantage of the numerous trips or water sports.

Love the ocean there because the water temperature is...
Love the ocean there because the water temperature is perfect and the waves and undertow gentle in many places, but if you want beginner/intermediate surfing waves they are there, too. Locals do not swim when the water is brown because of pollution coming in from the river...not good. Playa de Los Muertos around the southern point (and walkable) is a great alternative and much less touristy and busy, The center of town was very busy even in October (The high tourist season starts in November) so walking or renting a golf cart (about $50/day!) are the best ways to get around. There are taxis, too, but we never took one. The town is only about a mile in diameter so entirely walkable, but wear good shoes for support and balance....the streets are mostly cobblestone and uneven. This is not a good place for wheelchair mobility!

Great rooms, beautiful central balcony in suite, very spacious, fresh air. Nice that each room had its own bathroom (we had 2 bedroom with kitchenette). Useful kitchenette. Great view of the town. The pool was very nice to relax by. Hill leading up to hotel is steep but short.
Beautiful small hotel, large room, very clean with balcony. Comfortable bed. TV with Netflix was a bonus. Gorgeous rooftop pool area. Free coffee in the mornings. Friendly staff. Good location in the quieter part of town.
