We stay yearly in about 50 hotels but this hotel and host exceeded all our expectations. We stayed here because we married in the area and they really helped us with everything we needed even without asking. It is very obvious that this host makes sure their customers are super satisfied and comfortable. This was so nice to not have to think about anything since Silvana took everything out of our hands without doubt. Also the location is very nice in the center, nice atmosphere, nothing else to wish for what they offer.

Nice characterful place, with staff generally nice and caring. The room was huge, clean and comfortable. Location is spot on in the heart of Haarlem. Bed was comfortable but see below. Shower worked a treat and the bath tub was wonderful. It was the first time in years I decided to take a bath in a hotel! Illy coffee great but a bit plastic heavy. I did not take breakfast due to time restrictions. I would definitely stay here again next time I am in Haarlem.

The mattress and pillow were of very poor quality, and for the price I paid, the single room had no space to move around. The carpets were full of stains. I paid a fortune and expected a four-star hotel with good mattresses, pillows, a well-sized room, and clean carpets. However, the staff were excellent.

Charming city, wonderful Saturday market in the square, clean center and side streets, beautiful churches, parks, great food and soups, close to the sea by regular train.
In the center of the city you can quickly get everywhere on foot.
My favorite place full of aromas: Oscar Bakery.

Haarlem was a fabric center.
Haarlem was a fabric center. Look for fabrics at open air market. We love Spektackle Restaurant for food from many parts of the world. Also, Tem Boone house is like Anne Frank house in Amsterdam, but not huge lines. Haarlem is like a beautiful & smaller Amsterdam, even has a tiny red light district.
There are several museums, Teylor being the oldest.

Great Frans Hals museum but also a few other ones that looked worth while but the only ones we had the time to visit were the house of corrie ten boom and the Teylers museum, both interesring. It is a very agreeable city to walk through. We ate good mussels on the grote markt and nice tidbits here and there. We didn’t go out of our way for gastronomical experiences so I can’t say anything more specific about that.

Relaxed and quiet, great to wander around the streets, just need to take care of cyclists!
Beautiful architecture, the Catholic Cathedral is well worth a visit - climbing one of the towers a highlight.
Very good public transport - we did not have a car, but explored the area by train to Amsterdam and by bus to the coast.
We ate in an Italian, Indian and a Michelin standard restaurant. All very good, but there are lots of restaurants and places to buy lunch snacks from.

Fantastic location, close to all the sights, and with a very handy airport bus directly outside the front door. Owners Ad & Esther are lovely people, who provide a fresh & fabulous breakfast each morning. Apartment itself is historic, beautifully furnished, and with access to a charming garden. Very comfortable & quiet.
Little kitchen is very handy.
We had a fantastic 6-night stay, at the end of our 3-week trip in Netherlands. Would recommend to anyone looking for a lovely place to stay in Haarlem.
Very comfortable clean spacious apartment. The beds were especially comfortable and spotlessly clean. Shower and bath all good. Plenty of kitchen utensils which if we had more time we would have absolutely used. Great location to explore Haarlem and getting into Amsterdam simple.
Comfy bed, spacious room, good shower, really excellent breakfast, free car parking.
The train station - to Haarlem or Amsterdam - has free parking and is 5 minutes drive away.
