Great experience staying in the ice hotel. We stayed in the basic ice rooms since they were much cheaper and you can visit the carved rooms before 8pm. Food was lovely in the Laavu restaurant and breakfast was also very nice. Sleeping bags for the ice hotel were cosy and warm which made for a comfortable sleep.

If you want peace and quiet and a lovely view of the Altafjord - then this small family hotel is perfect for you!

Beautiful big room with excellent bedding and furniture- even 2 recliners to relax in. I would’ve liked to try the sauna but didn’t have time. The host was wonderful and the breakfast was delicious and had a large range of high quality food. I only wish we had time to stay more than 1 night.

Lovely small room. We stayed here 2 nights and this was the perfect amount to experience the area and lodge properly. Fantastic staff and lovely evening meals. Obviously, the highlight is the 50+ dogs on the property!
