Taupō is a truly beautiful spot. I absolutely love the lake and the refreshing swims—it’s honestly one of my favourite places to visit. The stunning scenery, with the mountains in the background and the crystal-clear waters of the lake, makes it feel so peaceful and rejuvenating. There’s always something to do, whether it’s exploring the local shops, walking along the lakefront, or enjoying the nearby hot pools. It’s a perfect destination for relaxation and adventure alike, and I can’t wait to return!

Lots to see and do, heaps of restaurants and other place to go to in town. The Thai restaurant next to the Japanese in town is very popular so would recommend this to others. We love the waterfront and walking along this you can see a clear view of the mountain range from the lake front even if this is a cloudy overcast day so would recommend taking lots of photos from the town side. Def worth visiting this beautiful wonderous crater lake of NZ. Heaps of activities and fun places to see for a family

Taupo is my most favourite place in NZ.
Taupo is my most favourite place in NZ. The Lake views, the mountains in the background, the fresh air. Has some great shops and eateries. Dixie Browns is my favourite location for breakfast. Two Mile Sailing Club is great for brunch, lunch or dinner. Have stayed at some amazing motels in the many years that I have been going to Taupo. I love the walkway around the lake, the marina and around to Huka Falls.

it was close to all the shops and restaurants entertainment pub's n clubs a good location in Taupo I would definitely come back here. One down side is the stairs we were on the top floor and had all our luggage having travelled on a international flight but would still stay here again

I come specifically for the Wairakei Thermal Spa. I just love that place. Taupo itself was good: a lovely range of eating facilities and places to visit - a very good holiday destination. I dined at Jolly Good Fellows: good food, good service.

The king bed room is reasonable price per night. And air conditioners is very cold 🥶. In our room Can see the pool there. Unfortunately we did have time to visit. And there is sauna n heat pools. May be next time we can ask our patents or family member to visit once at the end.WinnieNew Zealand

The rooms are large, clean and for us anyway the added bonus of a washer/dryer. We made full use of that as we'd been traveling for a while. The motel is on a very quiet street only a minutes walk from stunning Lake Taupo. Super friendly owners, our only regret is we didn't stay longer.
