Location is great, hotel is charming and so we'll restored. Keeping the original stone walls in the reception showcases what masons were capable of back then.

The location and the facilities are incredible, but it is the Staff that made our stay remarkable. From the front desk, to the dining room team, to the wine expert in our tasting, including the HD

This place is special!
The staff was sweet and helpful (and great cake-makers). The building is spotless, and the view is one of the best I've ever stayed in anywhere. This was better than the 5-star place we stayed at for 3 x the price. OK, no restaurant, spa, etc, but when nature puts on this kind of show, it can't be beaten.
The place was spotless.

Anna on reception was friendly, informative, and was very accommodating, the venue would have been so laid back if I was staying more than a night. itcwas too cold to use the pool but a beautiful setting. Although parking was not available in site Anna showed me safe parking next to the rear of the building.

We arrived on a Sunday, and only did the stay as a stop gap as the weather wasnt great. Barely anything was open to eat, so we struggled to find supper. We knew this may have been an issue, but it’s worth considering when planning your trip to smaller towns like this one.

We loved the welcome and helpful staff.
We loved the welcome and helpful staff. The room we had and views were excellent. we were able to extend our stay to go on a riverboat and steam train as well as visit Pocinho. The wine bar opposite the Museum was excellent and the Museum well worth a visit.

The Douro Valley is beautiful. Our stay was too short. The big thing I would encourage travelers to do is to make reservations and tour plans prior to visit. Wineries are often booked for bigger tours and not accepting drop ins.

We loved our stay. The family and staff are amazing! I can't emphasize how welcome we felt. The dinner was delicious and the port/wine parings lovely. They also arranged taxis for us on two occasions. Would love to come back.

Very friendly welcome but took a few minutes to gain access to the property. It was a 25 minute walk to the station but taxis readily available and affordable. Close to supermarkets.
Tio Manel restaurant in Regua was excellent - in terms of food quality, service and pricing.
Boat trips from Quayside to Pinhao and from there to a selection of Quintas. The Croft tour and tasting was very good - informative and good value for money.

We stayed in Casa das Marucas during our visit of Peso da Régua for participating in the annual Half Marathon, and we were lucky to become the guests of host Patricia. The host was so kind, amiable and friendly! We had a very nice room with a breathtaking view. Next day we had an amazing breakfast, Patricia was also so helpful to arrange us a taxi to the town as the house is located at the elavation, 9 minutes drive from the center. The house is very comfortable and modern, super clean and cosy. I highly recommend a place.
Everything about this place is amazing and beyond expectations. The host Margarida has done an exceptional job at renovating a family home to welcome you. We loved her genuine friendliness, advice and honest chats about living and growing up in Portugal. Her brother, Luis has an informative, unique and tasty wine tour experience on the property. Don't forget to book this. The quality of sleep and breakfast is top star! and the wines and olive oil are so good too.
Am excellent place to stay, with a huge spread of breakfast included.
Very warm and generous hospitality, with complete set of amenities. Free parking. Strongly recommended, when in Peso da Regua.
